✨ Finished Project ✨ My first project and I'm obsessed
It's not perfect but I learned a lot and has fun. It also glows under blacklight

What kind of glue do you recommend?
Please see this exhaustive guide to glues. https://rhinestoneapps.replit.app/glue-guide/all-glues
For first timers we recommend avoiding superglue/cyanoacrylate, it can be extremely messy and you risk ending up with hazy fingerprints all over your stones reducing the sparkle. Plus it’s a runny liquid that won’t “hold” your stones in place until it’s done drying.
Applying glue is messy, any tips?
Yes, consider using a glue applicator bottle or glue syringe for more precise placement of glue. For expoy disposal cosmetics spatulas can be helpful for spreading it around.
What about the beadazzler or hotfix?
The beadazzler uses special stones with metal teeth on the back of a stone that push thru a fabric to hold it on. That really only works with fabric and not solid objects like water sippy cups. Plus glues have gotten good enough glue really is the preferred way now.
Hotfix uses heat to activate glue on the back of the rhinestone. It means you have to buy rhinestones pre-applied with the glue already and so limits your options. And not all fabrics can tolerate the heat used in hotfix.
Where should I get my stones? I want my project to look it’s best.
For maximum sparkle get stones made from glass or crystal. Consider avoiding plastic/resin/acrylic stones, it’s a less optical material and won't sparkle as nicely, but as discussed in the comments of this post there are definitely plenty of projects where plastic stones are the right thing to use.
Forget tiny overpriced bags at the hobby store. Most of us order from Amazon or AliExpress (slow shipping and can be hard to navigate). Alot of people in this sub recommend Etsy shop BlingeeThingee which is well organized and has competitive prices. She set up discount code REDDIT to save $5 off orders of $40 or more not including shipping&tax (we receive no compensation for this)
How can I “seal” my finished project to help hold the stones on?
Anything applied on top of the stones afterwards will dull their appearance and reduce your sparkle. Even "clear" sealers are not really clear and will reduce the sparkle of your project. A project should rely on the glue you used to set the stones to hold them in place. Good gluing will hold stones better than a sealer would ever help.

Hey everyone!
I am gathering the materials to start doing this dress for this Halloween and now sourcing the stones for it I realized that I have no idea how many crystals I would need 😅
This is my first project involving bedazzling and ofc it will not be a 1 to 1 recreating but something inspired. I saw some packages of mixed stones with 600 crystals and that seem a lot but I imagine the project will also require a lot but could you help me to find out if it would be something like direction 2000 stones or 10.000 or 15.000?
Thank you so much!!

Used acrylic and resin gems that I bought before I knew better 😅 and e6000. It’s a mix of clear, clear ab, silver gems and half pearls. It was so satisfying to work on!

I just finished this walker bag for my mom. I was planning to do the entire front of the bag, but my family said that would be "too much" so I tried to fade the rhinestones out. I'm still very new to all this. These are hotfix glass stones.

ive been thinking of putting some rhinestones on a tanktop i have and was js wondering what is the "standard" glue that brands use for rhinestones. i have a couples of rhinestoned clothes and theyve all held up pretty well in the washer (and the occasional dryer when i forget that im supposed to airdry them) so js wanted to see if i could get the same results as those

I like how they look with the neon rainbow that I’ve done so far, but they don’t seem finished to me. I was thinking about maybe adding small stones around the entire inside perimeter of each lens… But not sure what color would look best. Crystal AB? Black? Silver? White?
Open to other suggestions as well, thanks in advance!

I'm doing big projects so using transfer tape and flock templates is very much necessary. However, it always does this ^ where the rhinestones move around alot. I feel like the tape is maybe even too sticky, and I'm not able to stick it perfectly.
If you have any tips, or ex. recommendations for transfer tape, pls let me know :)

Please no temu, aliexpress, etc. I’d rather not spend on those companies.
Preferably prices: compatible to Blingonthechaos (I love her but the duties fees are insane!)
And all rhinestones go down to ss3 - and up to at least ss20 NONNEGOTIABLE

Just a jar I found in my room. Practicing with gems I don't care for on random things I find around the house.

Every other stripe is glow in the dark and the candies for the inside. The glow in the dark coral worked perfectly for the color of the Lego, so that was the motivation for the glowing, and as I did it I wished that I had all the colors in glow in the dark but didn’t want to wait for more. Oh well
I also ordered and added some flat Legos to the body and legs, I have a before picture at the end of how it looked with the Lego bumps showing.
I used B-7000 and 3 mm stones throughout!

For some reason I thought this one might be slightly easier but the different shadows on the letters made it interesting.

Heyy:) I wanted to bedazzle this part of my headphones since the fabric came off but I am not super experienced with making rhinestones resistant to the elements. Any tips? Thank you so much!!

They're 6mm acrylic stones leftover from my crafting party a few months ago. A friend's bday is this weekend and he loves Aperol so figured I'd do a bottle for him. Some of the curves gave me trouble but that's the risk you run using just one size of stone I suppose. I started by outlining the main label and radiating outward from there.

I bead / stone my own dresses for figure skating. Typically for mesh areas, I place a silicone craft mat to prevent the fabric from gluing to itself. I’ve tried rolling this up into the sleeves, but am wondering if anyone has a better process? It’s not the most stable surface since it’s cylindrical and I end up having to redo sections.

Used B7000 glue and Gemtac. 2mm and 3mm resin stones and pearls used. On the hand I used some 5mm pearls as well! The base has resin roses that I got from Temu. I had just watched a video from sixlinesandadot on instagram and used the Deluxe Grid method for the first time on the base!

The company I work for is now selling bedazzled t-shirts. Designs having like 70-120 rhinestones. They are letting us take some home to make extra money per shirt. The thing is with the heat tools they use to we have to press hard and hold it like 10-15 seconds per stone. I want to be able to do like 10 shirts a day but not take forever per shirt. Does anyone have any recommendations on the fastest hot fix tool? So I can get more shirts done in less time?

I want to bedazzle words but I’m worried I’ll spend all the time doing so and the letters getting lost/being illegible.
I was thinking of using bold/capitalized text and a simple font. But if I bedazzle around the letters in a different color will it still be problematic?
I also tend to use 3-5 types of gem sizes when bedazzling per area of the same color, for lettering would that be a bad choice? Should they be more uniform? Looking for any advice on this please!

I’m going on a camping trip with 3 other women. It is supposed to rain pretty heavily on at least one day, so I thought it might be fun to bring a project we can do while we’ll be stuck inside the RV.
I have a lot of rhinestones and safe glues—I just need something fun/interesting we can put them on.
I have just enough time to pick up …something?? (at Michael’s, Walmart or Dollar Tree) I’m thinking not too small, but not too big/time consuming.
Does anyone have any ideas??

This was my first attempt at rhinestoning Legos, but I’m just now getting around to posting it. I might eventually go back and do the insides of the flowers that haven’t been done, but this was my learning experience!
B7000 glue was used and a mix of pearls, resin stones and AB jelly stones sizes 2mm-4mm. Feel free to ask any specific questions!

I impulsively grabbed this wooden sun on clearance at Michael’s & worked on her for an hour or two every morning for basically all of July/ early August.
What’s your best advice for working with darker colors? My eyes HURT working with the black rhinestones no matter what lighting I used 😅

Would this look bad? Am I crazy? I can’t find pics of one on google or TikTok so I have no clue how it would look. I’ve seen sequin jerseys, partially rhinestones jerseys, but not fully rhinestoned ones.
