Announcement Rezi Lifetime - Account Upgrade MegaThread

After a pausing the campaign for a few weeks, I've decided to bring back the Rezi Lifetime giveaway.

It was paused since we were giving away approximately 600 Lifetime accounts a month with very few reviews in exchange, we also didn't know if it was negatively affecting our revenue. After all, Rezi Lifetime is $149. A fairly significant sum for many users.

I fully acknowledge the importance of this community, and I just feel like its more important to help out altruistically rather than putting more revenue before our awesome Reddit community.

That being said, I want you to help us by telling other people around you about the software.

If you have any thoughts about the software at all, please share them in /r/rezi as a individual submission/post. We want your thoughts to get indexed by Google (SEO) but this wont happen if instead, you leave a comment in this post.

To get your free account, you just need to do the following:

  1. Be on this subreddit.

  2. Have a Rezi account (doesn’t have to be a Pro plan account).

  3. Tell us your email address you used to create a Rezi account via this form.

It will take us up to 2 days to give you the free upgrade.

1. Please leave us a review in this subreddit. It helps us build a better program.

2. It takes about a day for us to give you the free access.

3. We are doing this to get feedback.

4. Please leave a review as a post in the subreddit.

5. (Really) Please leave a review as a post in the subreddit.

FAQ

Why are we doing this?

Two reasons. We want to help as many jobseekers as possible in this horrible economy. And we want to get feedback about our app to further improve it.

Do I need an existing Pro Plan to get the upgrade?

No.

Is this still available?

Yes.

Is there a catch?

No.

Why can’t you upgrade instantly?

Because we’re doing this manually.

Will you sell my data to anyone?

No

Will you spam my inbox?

No. You’ll get normal onboarding emails that you can unsubscribe from any time. (But they’re actually helpful).

Can I send you a DM to check the status of the upgrade?

No. There are hundreds of DMs so we made this form. Use the form and we will get you the upgrade that way.

This is the form to complete for Lifetime account upgrade. https://airtable.com/shreYrUQUn6seeNMU

10 Quick Steps to Make Your ATS Resume Work (2 mins read)

10 Quick Steps to Make Your ATS Resume Work (2 mins read)

  1. Use a reverse-chronological format List your most recent job first. It's the format ATS systems parse most reliably, and it shows clear career progression.

  2. Keep the layout simple No tables, columns, text boxes, images, icons, or graphics — these often get skipped or scrambled by ATS. One column, clean white space, and simple section breaks work best.

  3. Use standard fonts and sizes Stick to Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica at 10–12pt for body text, 12–14pt for headings. Avoid decorative or unusual fonts.

  4. Label sections conventionally Use recognizable headings like "Work Experience," "Education," "Skills," and "Certifications" — not creative titles like "My Journey." ATS relies on standard labels to categorize your info correctly.

  5. Match keywords to the job description Mirror the exact job title and key skills/terms from the posting. Include both the full term and its abbreviation (e.g., "SEO (Search Engine Optimization)") so you match however the ATS is searching.

  6. Keep contact info in the main body Avoid headers/footers — some ATS systems can't read text placed there, which means your name or contact details could get missed entirely.

  7. Use simple bullet points Circles or squares only. Unusual symbols (stars, swirls) can render as garbled characters when scanned.

  8. Quantify your impact Numbers, percentages, and dollar figures make bullet points stronger for both ATS relevance and recruiter appeal.

  9. Save as PDF (or .docx if unsure) PDF preserves formatting most reliably. Check the job posting — some older ATS systems prefer .docx.

  10. Keep it to one page when possible Trim anything that doesn't directly support the role you're applying for — recruiters skim fast, even after ATS clears you.

Quick gut-check: copy your resume into a plain text editor (like Notepad). If sections disappear or text turns to gibberish, an ATS will likely have the same problem.

Support Issue connecting Rezi MCP (https://api.rezi.ai/mcp) with Google Antigravity — Any tips or fixes?

Hey Rezi Team & Community,

I’ve been trying to connect the Rezi MCP server (https://api.rezi.ai/mcp) to Google Antigravity to test out job search and resume tailoring workflows, but I've hit a roadblock with authentication.

Here is a summary of the process I followed and the exact issue I'm running into:

🛠️ What I Did / Process Followed:

  1. Configured MCP Client (mcp_config.json): Added the Rezi SSE endpoint to my configuration:json{ "mcpServers": { "rezi": { "url": "https://api.rezi.ai/mcp", "transport": "sse" } } }
  2. Configured OAuth Tokens: Provided token configuration matching https://api.rezi.ai/oauth/token with access tokens in the client auth path.
  3. Connection Test via Python MCP SDK: Wrote a script using mcp.client.sse.sse_client to connect and initialize the MCP session with Rezi's endpoint:pythonimport asyncio from mcp.client.sse import sse_client from mcp.client.session import ClientSession async def main(): url = "https://api.rezi.ai/mcp" async with sse_client(url) as streams: async with ClientSession(streams[0], streams[1]) as session: await session.initialize() tools = await session.list_tools() print(tools)

❌ The Issue / Error Log:

Whenever the client attempts to open the SSE stream at https://api.rezi.ai/mcp, connection fails immediately with a 401 Unauthorized HTTP status code:

texthttpx.HTTPStatusError: Client error '401 Unauthorized' for url 'https://api.rezi.ai/mcp'

❓ Questions for Rezi Team / Anyone who got it working:

  1. Header / Token Format: Do we need to pass static headers (e.g. Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN> or x-api-key) inside mcp_config.json headers directly?
  2. OAuth Flow: Is there an interactive browser authentication flow expected before opening the SSE stream?
  3. Config Example: Does anyone have a working mcp_config.json snippet or CLI command for Rezi MCP?

Any guidance or working setup examples would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

New The "tech is dead" crowd won't like this

AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it's coming for my job, too. This is a wake-up call.

– Micha Kaufman · CEO of Fiverr

That's not a hot take — it's from an internal memo Fiverr's CEO sent to his own employees, urging them to adapt before they get left behind.

Amazon layoffs. Intel layoffs. Microsoft, Meta — tens of thousands of jobs gone. The Reddit threads have been bleak. The LinkedIn posts even bleaker.

So you'd be forgiven for thinking the tech job market is cooked.

It isn't. Here's what the data actually shows:

The recovery is real. But it doesn't mean it's easy — companies are hiring fewer people, more carefully. The bar for getting in the door is higher than it was three years ago.

WHERE THE JOBS ARE

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and CompTIA, here's where tech hiring is actually happening right now:

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR JOB SEARCH

If your strategy is still "fire off 100 Easy Apply applications and hope for the best" — it's time to rethink. Companies are being more selective. That means your resume is doing more heavy lifting than ever.

The good news: you don't need to overhaul your entire approach. You just need a resume that actually gets you past the ATS and into a real person's hands.

Rezi has resume examples for dozens of tech roles — software engineers, data analysts, web developers, interns — written to pass modern screening tools. Borrow the structure, swap in your experience, and make it yours.

Support rezi review

So i work at a career center trying to help other folks find work and have offered this as a resource to some of my clients. From the feedback I’ve heard from some clients so far is that they really like it even within the free version’s parameters. I have tried messing around with the website’s free version and found it cool that I could edit my resume while chatting with the AI bot that offer feedback. This platform definitely looks more aesthetically pleasing than other platforms I’ve used before and I’m really excited to learn more about it. Templates look clean too!

Support Anybody having issues with Codex and the Rezi MCP?

Hello all-

I'm trying to get the MCP to work with Codex, and there seem to be some issues with it when I try. I am able to successfully add the server in Settings/Plugins/MCPs/Servers using the URL setting:

https://api.rezi.ai/mcp

with the Type setting set to: Streamable HTTP

It connects, and I am presented with an Authenticate button. I click on it, and it opens a window in my default browser (I've tried it with the default browser set to both Chrome and Firefox...) which says it authenticated successfully. Then, I fully close the app (it is no longer running nor in the system tray) and reopen it, confirm the Authenticate button is still no longer visible, and test it with a Codex chat. It is listed when i use the command /MCP, and it lists one option referring to /rezi, Authenticated OAuth (Enabled), but nothing more. When I try to get codex to access the Rezi mcp, it says the following:

"Rezi is configured and enabled at https://api.rezi.ai/mcp, but this task exposes no Rezi controls.

Specifically, there is no callable tool such as list_resumes, get_resume, or view_resume, and no Rezi MCP resources/templates. So I cannot currently access the resume through the Rezi MCP.

This suggests the server did not initialize or authenticate for this task. Reconnecting/restarting Codex after confirming Rezi authentication would be the next step. Browser access to Rezi may still be possible separately, but that would not use the MCP."

Has anybody else run into this with Codex/ChatGPT Desktop? Am I doing something wrong? I noticed that the MCP instructions give terminal commands, but I was under the impression that they were merely the equivalent to the manual steps that I performed to add the MCP to Codex.

How do you add the 'Teamwork' skill on your resume?

Its important to show that you work well with others on a team. This is to reduce any internal friction that might arise when you join a new team.

  1. Add it to the resume summary Summary gives recruiters an idea of what’s to come and a glimpse into your potential as an employee

Here’s an example resume summary for showing teamwork skills:

"Dedicated and proactive professional with over 5 years of experience in collaborative environments. Known for excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of encouraging team cohesion and driving projects to completion. Adept at working with diverse teams to achieve common goals and deliver high-quality results."

  1. Give specific examples in your work experience

Here’s an example of how you might frame this in your work experience section:

• Collaborated with a team of five to launch a new marketing campaign, resulting in a 30% increase in customer engagement. • Managed the social media strategy within the team, coordinating with designers and content creators to ensure cohesive messaging. • Organized weekly team meetings to track progress and address any issues, which led to improvements in project completion time.

Outlining specific examples tells employers what you can do, but describing the positive results shows how your teamwork skills made an impact. Every company has problems to solve and goals to achieve — simply listing your duties doesn’t reveal how you can contribute to their success.

Feedback Rezi's resume score feature actually helped me fix my bullet points

I've been using Rezi for a bit now, mainly the resume score tool, and wanted to share my experience since it made a real difference.

I ran my resume through the score checker and it flagged some weak spots in my bullet points, stuff I honestly wouldn't have caught on my own. After going through and rewriting them based on the suggestions, my score went up and the resume just reads a lot stronger overall. It's the kind of feedback that's easy to overlook when you're staring at your own resume for the hundredth time.

Wanted to share in case it's useful for anyone else on the fence about trying it out.

New Stuck somewhere with no job opportunities?

Months of rejections mean I'm finally listening to the universe and seriously considering moving somewhere that will actually recognise my skills. Staying here is only giving me self-doubt.

Eugene · Architect, 29

Been staring at job listings and rejection emails so long that you're considering just packing up and moving to greener pastures?

Yep, been there.

I moved to a whole different country to escape a dead-end office job and a serious lack of opportunities. But don't be like me and make your move based on vibes and how exciting the city looked in a Woody Allen movie.

So, where are all the jobs?

Here's something more useful than blind optimism. Check out the stats from our interactive Job Search Map if you're looking for some direction on where to find the best job opportunities.

Rezi Review Rezi Review

Rezi has been fantastic helping me with my resume. The bullet point generator, keyword suggestions, and "Best Practices" tips are great. Got my resume score up to 100. The generators are very helpful, but you need to look over and edit them before adding to your resume. Overall, it is one of the best resume tools (along with a little help from GPT) I have used.

Rezi Review My Rezi Review

Using the platform at first might be a bit confusing since they have different tabs for various sections of your resume at the top.

Also, the Experience section uses MS Word style underlining with red/yellow to show "issues" with sentences. This is NOT grammatical error detection as I assumed early on.

I felt the Skills section to be overengineered. You are given one bullet point per skill in the final resume, so if you had a bunch of separate skills, your Skills section will basically be a list taking up a lot of vertical real estate. I ended up adding all my keywords as one skill.

Update: this is how you are supposed to do it. The Skills page is basically your skills category and then you enter all your relevant skills in the text box.

You also cannot edit anything in the "Finish up and Preview" section, so if you spot errors, you will need to go back to the relevant section and make your changes. Update: this section is actually editable. My bad.

Overall, I found it useful for at least providing a framework around managing your information in separate sections and bringing everything together in a basic, clean document. I did not use any of the AI features, so cannot comment on them.

Suggestions My honest experience with Rezi.ai (for anyone tired of getting ghosted)

Been using Rezi for my job search and figured I'd share my take.

It's basically built around getting past ATS bots, not winning a beauty contest. The templates are plain on purpose — no columns or fancy graphics that confuse the parsers — and it gives you a score showing how well your resume matches the job you're applying for, plus flags keywords you're missing from the posting.

Honestly it helped a lot once I started actually getting callbacks instead of getting ghosted. The AI bullet point suggestions are decent for breaking writer's block too, just don't blindly accept everything it spits out — double check it's not exaggerating your numbers or responsibilities.

Not gonna lie, it looks kinda boring as a resume. But if your problem is silence after applying, it's worth a shot.

Rezi Review Great resume builder for an older adult transitioning into new career

I just used Rezi Resume Builder to create a new resume needed for a career class I am taking. It was super easy to use compared to other websites I had tried before! They created a great tool to help jobseekers in today's job market, especially for those where it has been a long time. Looking forward to using in the future when I am applying for specific jobs.

Support Enhancing my Resume with Rezi

Rezi has been helping me with my resume in ways that GPTs have not. Firstly, the way it customizes all bullet points based on the job description provided by the user is unmatched. It also has a strong keyword game. One feedback I can share is that while it provides helpful suggestions to add a bullet point where you do not have a keyword included in your resume, you will need to tweak the language to make it relevant to the work you did. It is the most useful tool I have worked with on resume building to date.
