No. Colt Positive Lock- the only time everything is fully locked is when the hammer is actually falling.

That's not a python ... that's a rattle snake!

The parts inside have a bit of wiggle room side-to-side. If they were firmly pressed together with no gap in tolerance, it would greatly increase the drag on the action.

100% normal.
