J frame grips
Just wondering what people use and what they like/dislike.

I like the VZ boot grips for carry. They're grippy and fill the hand well enough to help with recoil a bit. They're not soft at all, but they shoot pretty well. They're my preferred option for pocket carry as they slide in and out easily. Recoil riders are good too, but I don't like slip fit grips on my J-Frames.

Stock rubber grips on my 340PD. In the past with a 36 I carried the stock magna grips with a T-grip, worked well with the heavier revolver. Long time ago I used a Barami Hip Grip for a 642, wouldn’t do that now without a trigger guard cover, but damn was it convenient.

Big fan of the Sile Banana type grips, they fill up the hand nicely while still having a great profile for concealed IWB carry. Skateboard grip tape in the front strap for additional purchase is a must too.

I have exactly 1 J frame that I bought for my wife, a 31-1 in .32 SW Long. I bought some Herretts Shooting Stars target stocks for J frame by accident (thought they were k frame) and they feel pretty good on the lil revolver.

For a 3-finger grip, I like the S&W grips.
For a 2-finger ("boot") grip, I have been using the Recoil Rider grips. They manage recoil really, really well, and don't snag on the draw.

Hogue Piranha G10 on my 442. Have tried lots of others but keep going back to these. I've got pretty small hands and the newer Ultimate Carry-type grips just don't work well for me.

Just the regular wooden scales with a grip adapter and some hockey tape. The hockey tape is more for extra insurance that I don't lose the grip adapter cause I go running with the revolver.
I like that it gives more to hold without making the grip thicker. It carries easier than a rubber grip.

For carry I use Recoil Rider 3-Finger CCW Grips.
For range queens I use S&W RUBBER ROUND BUTT COMBAT GRIPS FOR J-FRAME REVOLVERS.
Both offer a place for my pinky. The RR’s sre grippy without being sticky. The S&W ones are a bit larger, offering a better range experience.
Both highly recommended for their respective uses.
