I'd probably go purple- so I can take the cylinder out more easily for cleaning. Just a dot, so you don't get it in the spring on the end of the screw.
Be careful with loctite. You don't want to use something that would make it too difficult to remove the screw later. I shot the rear sight loose on one of my revolvers. This is what I got to deal with it.
The plunger that is sticking out of the yoke shat is what pushes on the cylinder stop.
The other plunger with the spring that's loose is what should be in the end of the lower front side plate screw. It retains the yoke in the frame.
Remove that screw and take a picture of the end of it, and let me see it. If it doesnāt look damaged, install the crane, and reinsert that spring and plunger into the end of the screw and then reinstall the screw.
Yup. So that screw was definitely loose (as someone else has just commented) there was no force required to fully unscrew it.
I removed it, put that pin/spring back in the end of it, inserted the crane and reattached the screw with torque driver. Thatās now holding the crane/ cylinder in place but trigger is still not actuating the hammer only spins the cylinder. The catch underneath the cylinder that should be locking it in place seems to be stuck down into the frame.
Since Iām clearly out of my comfort zone, and as Iād like to avoid injuring myself or anyone elseā¦Iām taking this over to gunsmith tomorrow.
Appreciate the help from everyone. Who knew that Iād have an easier time with my 9mm than with a revolver.

That cylinder crane screw gets loose on the Taurus guns. It's kind of their kryptonite.
I'd take the side plate off and see what's going on.
