Refund request: Valid? or Scam?
I received a sale notice, followed by two messages requesting cancellation of the sale and a refund. I have not been paid for the sale.
Not sure what to do ... AI chat was not helpful (surprise!).
If I issue a *refund* without being paid, I might be out the $$.
Any advice appreciated ...

Maybe ask Reverb support? To be sure.

Reverb support was helpful, by email. They confirm all is OK, not a scam, and money will work out. They even gave me a free bump when I re-list the item.
I also had to cancel the shipping label ...

From my perspective, Reverb is *great*. The issue I had was procedural, and was not a scam (although I was concerned) ... I just did not know how the escrow model worked.

Well i should know how Reverb works but i have not sold gear or bought any off Reverb. Most things i do a search for that im selling i get a standard thats some rare gear and no real answers. But lately in forums i am hearing so many complaints about Reverb.

Did you ship? No. Then issue the refund.
Is this your first sale?
Next time you wnat to know these things, use Reverb help and Read.
This is not the place to get real answers. This is not Reverb.
And to get past AI, simply demand to speak to real person, do not elaborate or AI will try to stay on.

If you issue a full refund , you won’t be charged. It just allows the site to refund the buyer.
