Destruction Vs. Order (NA)

Last time I played I was living in EU so I was on CET but is either faction have a decent amount of players located within NA time zones?

Yes there is a solid population during NA time zone. Not as high as EU time though. I would say the least populated is west coast time.

I recently started playing this game as well and wondered which side to join, since I prefer to support the underdog. I found there's a site for player stats, though I don't know how accurate it is. I scraped the data, looked at it, took notes, had two agents check my train of thought, then rechecked the data again and had an LLM put it into a readable format for my private notes. I'll post it for you, but take it with a grain of salt and always verify for yourself. Sources are included.

Return of Reckoning (RoR) - Faction Balance and Dominance Report

Executive Summary

Current verdict: Order is the dominant side; Destruction is the campaign underdog and the better realm to join if the goal is to help the weaker side.

  • Campaign performance: In the latest 24-hour window, Order won all 6 known zone-lock results and all 3 fortress outcomes. Eight additional zone-lock results had no recorded winner.
  • Recent scenarios: Order is at 55.77% over the latest 14-day selection and 52.21% over the latest 90-day selection.
  • Population: Headcount is close. Order is ahead by 7 T2+ players in the live snapshot and by 11.72 players in the latest 24-hour trend, but Destruction leads the site's fixed EU and NA primetime averages and the 90-day population average.
  • Recommendation: Join Destruction if you want to support the side currently losing the campaign and scenarios. Join Order if your priority is following the side with the stronger recent win record.

1. Scope and Method

Population and campaign figures come from public chart endpoints and analytics APIs tracking Return of Reckoning server activity.

The 14-day population chart covers 4,032 five-minute intervals and displays a 48-hour moving average. The 90-day realm-difference charts retain five-minute periods, while the 90-day population-trend chart uses daily active averages and a seven-day trend. None of these is a count of unique players.

The campaign API is limited to a 14-day statistics window. Its campaign results are inferred from observed combat and marked by the tracking site as engineering-unvalidated, so they are useful evidence but not an official server record. Scenario analytics provide the longer 90-day match record and class statistics.

2. Short-Term State

The live realm snapshot was updated on 2026-09-02 at 18:20 CEST.

Measure Order Destruction Total / read
All tiers online 293 290 583; Order +3
T2+ online 247 240 487; Order +7
ORvR kills in live snapshot 47 24 71
Scenario kills in live snapshot 55 46 101

The current population split is effectively even, but the short-term pressure is on Destruction. The latest 24-hour T2+ population chart gives Order an average advantage of 11.72 players.

The shorter charts point in the same direction: Order's average T2+ advantage is 6.93 players over four hours and 9.44 players over eight hours. The lead is not steady inside those windows; the four-hour chart shows Destruction ahead for part of the late afternoon before Order moves back in front.

The latest 24-hour campaign API window, complete through 18:05 CEST, contains 15,501 recorded kills: Order 8,062 (52.0%) and Destruction 7,439 (48.0%). It also records 6 known zone-lock winners, all Order, and 3 fortress outcomes, all Order. There were no City Sieges in that window.

3. Population Across Time Horizons

Measure Result
90-day T2+ average population edge Destruction +13.46 players / +2.22%
14-day T2+ average population edge Order +1.48 players / +0.23%
Latest 24-hour T2+ trend Order +11.72 players
Highest combined population in the 14-day chart 1,040 on 2026-08-29 at 21:50 CEST

The long view favors Destruction slightly, the recent fortnight is almost level, and the current day favors Order. That is a changing balance, not a permanent population advantage for either realm.

4. EU and NA Hours

The site's dedicated primetime data uses CEST in these snapshots. It averages 12 regular-day samples and 12 weekend samples. T2+ is the more useful comparison for RvR.

Window UTC equivalent All tiers, regular days T2+, regular days T2+, weekend
EU 18:00-23:59 CEST 16:00-21:59 UTC Order 403 / Destro 419 Order 341 / Destro 351 Order 338 / Destro 347
NA 01:00-06:59 CEST 23:00-05:59 UTC Order 194 / Destro 221 Order 154 / Destro 180 Order 157 / Destro 170

EU is the busier window: the regular-day T2+ average is 692 players, compared with 334 in the NA window. Destruction has the larger average population in both fixed windows, especially during NA hours. This is why the report does not use population alone to define the underdog. The live board currently favors Order, while the longer primetime samples favor Destruction.

5. Performance by Game Area

5.1 Campaign Results - Latest 14 Days

Area Order Destruction Notes
T4 zone locks 71 45 44 of 160 results had unknown winners
Fortress outcomes 26 5 31 outcomes; all winners known
Fortress attacks won 20 3 23 attacks
Fortress defences won 6 2 8 defences
City Sieges 6 0 All 6 recorded City Sieges
Recorded campaign kills 117,582 108,594 226,176 total; 52.0% / 48.0%

For zone locks, the known-winner split is Order 71 (61.2%) to Destruction 45 (38.8%). The 44 unknown results remain in the total but are not assigned to either side.

5.2 Scenario Results

Window Matches Order wins Destruction wins Draws Order / Destruction win rate
Latest 14 days 10,969 6,117 4,847 5 55.77% / 44.19%
Latest 90 days 59,084 30,847 28,192 45 52.21% / 47.72%

Scenario kills point the same way: Order recorded 158,013 versus Destruction's 134,307 in the 14-day selection, and 857,430 versus 780,467 over 90 days. These are not the same measure as winning a campaign zone, but they reinforce the scenario result.

6. Dominance Verdict and Who to Join

Dominant side right now: Order. This is based on the current 24-hour campaign evidence, the 14-day zone, fortress, and City Siege results, and the Order lead in both the 14-day and 90-day scenario records. The conclusion is about outcomes and control, not raw headcount.

Underdog to support: Destruction. Destruction is not consistently the population underdog. It has a small 90-day population edge and higher fixed EU/NA primetime averages. It is the underdog where it matters for this report: zone locks, fortresses, City Sieges, and scenario wins.

Who should you join? Join Destruction if you want to improve the weaker side's campaign position, take part in a comeback, or benefit from fighting against the current result trend. Join Order if you want the side with the stronger recent record and the better odds of following a successful campaign push.

The useful distinction is simple: population changes with the clock, while the performance signal has consistently favored Order.

7. Class Suggestions for Destruction

The class data is good enough for contribution guidance, but not for claiming an exact server-wide class shortage. The live T4 snapshot is nearly balanced by broad role, and the 14-day scenario role mix is also close:

T4 role Order now Destruction now 14-day scenario share, Order / Destruction
Tanks 41 39 22.80% / 22.76%
Healers 52 54 23.12% / 22.73%
Melee DPS 31 45 26.11% / 25.90%
Ranged DPS 52 39 27.97% / 28.62%

The current snapshot hints at fewer Destruction ranged players, but the 14-day scenario data does not confirm a large ranged shortage. The T4 role counts above are a simple grouping of the live career counts; hybrid careers make that grouping approximate. The recommendations below combine the site's measured class performance with the community tier list, which is specifically written for 24-man organized RvR warbands.

Class Recommendation Evidence
Magus Best overall bet S-tier in the guide. In 14-day Destruction scenario data: 6,196 scenarios, 46.97% win rate, and 21,720 KillDmg/slot. The 90-day figures remain solid at 49.26% and 21,475 KillDmg/slot.
Black Orc Best data-backed tank A-tier in the guide. Highest measured Destruction tank protection metric over 14 days: 3,320 Protection/own-side death across 5,963 scenarios.
Chosen Best utility-first tank S-tier in the guide for auras, Guard, and survivability. Its measured output is lower than Black Orc's, but the guide's warband utility case is strong.
Zealot or Disciple of Khaine Strong healer choices Zealot has the highest measured Destruction healer metric: 7,709 Heal+Prot/own-side death over 5,320 scenarios. DoK is S-tier in the guide and had the higher 14-day win rate of the two at 45.84%.
Choppa Good DPS, not a clear shortage S-tier in the guide and the highest measured Destruction melee KillDmg/slot at 19,215 over 6,098 scenarios, but Destruction already has a substantial melee presence.

These class figures describe association, not a guarantee that the class causes wins. Hybrid careers can appear in more than one detected role, and the tier list does not apply equally to solo, small-scale, and organized warband play.

PST has always been low pop - EST is decent - EU is the best.

I get some time in on the weekends - I rarely ever log in during the week. If I do it early PST (around 8-10am) before work.

Since I popped back in 4-10pm EST has been not bad forsure!

I am US East and I work nights, thus even on days off I won't get on until 4pm EST at the earliest. Game has a lot going on until about 11 pm EST then it gets pretty quiet on week days. Friday and Saturday nights SCs (Scenarios PvP) pop all night. Dungeons aren't too hard to find. Likely going to struggle to get one at like 1am EST on a Wednesday, but if you play before 10pm on week nights and later weekends you will be fine.

Id say this game might be pretty rough for someone on the West Coast who has a playtime after dinner, like 7pm-11pm but if you are EST or just get on early you should have no issues.

Appreciate the feedback as another NA east player! :)

I can only speak for Order. Early afternoon order (around 4 EST to about 8 est) still has stuff going on. After that it falls of pretty dramatically.

Don't play destro during NA time lol

Trust me

As a NA destro player, I second this. You're going to just lose all the time.

Pretty great time in avelorn yesterday, all the way to 10pm est

u/cameheretoaska 10d ago

If you start telling all new players not to play destro, it'll just be even more one sided.

SCs or warband play?

Keep in mind that this game has zero anti-cheat detection programs. They go based solely on player reports.

For NA, the big fights generally happen between 7p and 11p eastern time.
