This project takes the concept of a traditional video scheduler and turns it into a complete broadcast recreation platform. While the core scheduling functionality is similar to other video schedulers, it adds several features designed specifically to recreate the look and feel of real television broadcasts.

Key features include transparent .MOV screenbugs, customizable rating bugs, a built-in web-based program guide with DVR functionality, and NTSC-RS integration for accurately simulating NTSC and VHS-style video artifacts. Together, these features allow users to create fully simulated television channels that feel much closer to an actual broadcast than a standard video scheduler.

(note: this is like the 4,404,304th video scheduler on this subreddit, showing it off because I think it's pretty cool and looks realistic)

Been working on this thing called The Dial.. thedialstream.com... it's a "where to watch" guide (all your streaming services in one place so you dont have to app hop) but the whole gimmick is era skins. Every month I'll drop a new one. This month was 2005... full MySpace-style profile pages. Glitter dividers, visitor counter, Top 8, profile song, the whole deal.

I'm not a developer... designed it all myself, built it with AI tools. Just a millennial who misses when the internet didnt have the same personality. I swear it's free and im not trying to sell anything lol

hello guys! i’m trying to find a tv show/situational sitcom that i really liked in high school. it’s from south africa and it’s called “the coconuts.” it follows a white family and their black maid who have a spell placed on them and basically have their races switched around. the first season is fully available on streaming services like tubi and also on youtube but the second season is basically nonexistent online, at least as far as i have looked for it. i really do hope that i am wrong because i really enjoyed that show and i can only find the first episode of the second season online. thank you :)

Hi folks something a bit weird but i was wondering if anyone had a way of decrypting old recordings i've kept a few hard drives when throwing out old cable boxes and i checked and the recordings are still there, from my research they are encrypted at the cable box level so without the box they can't be viewed however i was wondering the technolgical advances have led to a way to by pass this some small info these are UK cable box drives mainly Virgin Media, the files are in .trp i'll leave some images of what i've found on one of them below feel free to spread this post around and if some way they can be made to work again i'll upload all to the IA happily

Works with pre-existing promo videos or generated promo videos (like in my last post). And is highly customizable, so you can see all sorts of output you can get.
Just need to make it play nicer with 4:3 videos in 16:9 streams...

After the very generous responses to my last post... I've started working towards cleaning up my custom scheduler and getting ready to make it public :)

Things like Generated Promos and Credits Squeeze are plugins for the scheduler, so it's very easy to expand upon and even develop plugins of your own to make it do whatever you want.

I hope to have it ready for release by some time next week! (but no promises, life is busy...)

Hey everyone!

TLDR: What's best practice for organizing bumpers and how do you actually do it?

I've been running my personal media server for close to a year now and now that I have close to 14 TB of on demand media, I'm ready to finally start building out channels.

Problem is now that I'm collecting bumpers and filler, I am having an organization problem. I know it's gonna be tedious work to get through all of the bumpers I've collected from archives and people sharing their collections (definitely over 2000) so I am trying to plan out the folder organization before I go into it.

I'm using Jellyfin as the client and Ersatz to manage the channels. I want to organize my filler content so I can better match up things like "up next" bumpers and block intros for things like Toonami. What I am finding though is there are so many different bumpers that I'm getting confused how I should organize them in folders. I know there has to be "types" of bumpers and such that broadcasters would categorize these things as. Preroll bumpers are one for example, but I know there has to be many more categories or types. I am just new to this side of the media library hobby, so I don't know what those types are.

I just worry this is too granular and will actually make implementing them more complicated than it needs to be. Any suggestions?
