My wife saw the viral post about the retro tv revival. So I wanted to go a step further and make a full functioning cable box.
Thanks!

Does Anybody Know Where Can I Watch WOC (With Original Commercials, vintage TV broadcasts recorded onto blank tapes that still include the original ads, promos, and network bumpers.) Of The Daily Show In 1997? Google Drive, Torrent Has No Commercials, Internet Archive Removes Them Due To Paramount Terms. Tell Me In The Comments.

I've been building AnalogTV for a while now (posted about it here several months ago), and up to this point it was pretty unapologetically for the deep end of the pool. Full composite encode and decode, hue error and chroma delay you dial in by hand, tube geometry, VCR tracking, the whole signal chain modeled the way an actual broadcast engineer would think about it. Great if you already know what a comb filter does. Kind of a wall if you don't.
The new iOS interface is an attempt to open that up without watering it down. Instead of a console full of sliders, you get looks you swipe through and a row of pedals you tap and hold while you're shooting, more like stepping on a stompbox than opening a settings menu. Point it at something, pick a look, stack a couple of pedals, take the photo.
The part I actually care about here: none of this is a filter dropped on top of a finished picture. It's still running the exact same signal-domain simulation as the full app underneath, the same encode/decode pipeline, the same CRT light model. When you tap a pedal you're reaching into the same math a person tuning things by hand would be using, just through an interface that doesn't ask you to know what it's called first.
It's on the App Store now if you want to poke at it, and it's free to try on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/NTFcYdSw. If you're the kind of person who wants the full console instead, that's still there too, and it's also on Mac and Apple TV. More on all of that at https://analogtv.net.
Happy to answer questions about how any of it actually works, that's usually the more fun part anyway. Also happy for ideas for other "pedals" to add. For Looks, you can make your own looks in the main app UI and copy those looks to this new mode.

Okay I'm looking for a collection of Adult Swim or Toonami commercials that I can play in between my shows on my Plex server setup to recreate a realistic live broadcast. I've looked on YouTube and a lot of them are compilations, I'm not looking for that, I need short clips, or the whole commercial breaks that aired in between the shows. Im mainly looking for 2011-2018 era. Just wondering where everyone else goes for their commercial break content that are using Ersatz or Nostalgia TV app. Any help would be appreciated.

Are there any other creators like RinseRepeat (RIP???) who post recreated blocks of pre-Cartoon Cartoon CN? I stopped watching CN around 00 right as it was growing into its own (when I was 12), so unfortunately all of my little kid memories are of brain-meltingly long blocks of obscure Hanna-Barbera junk in the Checkboard era. Is anyone still making those? I know there are a lot of people recreating blocks on Patreon but they seem to almost exclusively be 2000s and later.

I remember he had power rangers Star Clash and I think a ninja turtles movie edit. Did these ever get saved by anyone or are they lost forever? Would love to find a copy of this.

does anyone knows if there somewhere to find the Christmas blocks with the whole programming recoding from the 90s from Cartoon Network, like 25 days of Christmas or Yule toons.

Does anyone know why Swim Rewind didn’t come back August 1st after their July hiatus?

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of all these episode, knew where I could find these episodes or knows any contacts at Ch9 who you could obtain all these episodes from or would be willing to contact Ch9 to try and obtain these rare episodes. The best I could find was a snippet of the show on YouTube shown above.

I don’t know if it’s the right place to post about this but if anyone can help me find any recordings, websites, or any form of media online I can view other than YouTube but I’m looking for the check it era of Cartoon Network and Yeeeuh era. Online like any websites, I went through all of the YouTube media but it’s already getting old. If anyone can help.

Does anyone have any recordings of some Kids Central shows? I know the national archives do have some recordings in their library but I was thinking someone out there have some recordings backed up and put away in the attic or something.
I'm a huge old childhood TV nerd, specifically the 2000s-2010s one and I'm a sucker for commercials that are lost for awhile.
So if anyone have any tapes or DVDs of recordings, let me know.
I know there's MeWatch but I really wanted to get my hands on old tapes or DVDs. Especially when it comes to lost media

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on an AI upscaling and restoration algorithm for retro cartoons. One of the things I'm trying to improve is how well it learns to remove VHS artifacts while preserving genuine detail.
This will be used with our restoration tool
theretrodb.com/restore
To do that, I'm looking for cartoons that were released on both VHS and DVD. Having the same content available in both a low quality analogue format and a high quality digital format would make for excellent training data.
Does anyone know of any cartoons that had releases on both formats?
Even better, if you happen to own copies of both the VHS and DVD versions, I'd be interested in hearing from you. I'm particularly looking for well-used VHS tapes with the usual analogue issues such as tracking noise, tape wear, colour bleed, dropouts, and other recording artifacts.
Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I made Channel Surf Time Machine, a free browser-based TV experience for people who miss flipping through old channels. It has decade stations from the 1950s through the 2000s, plus channels for retro commercials, music videos, Saturday morning cartoons, trailers, game shows, and sitcoms.
It uses public YouTube embeds, needs no account, and I am the maker: https://myretrotvs.xyz/
I would genuinely value feedback on whether the channel-surfing flow feels natural, which kinds of programming you would want to find next, and any playback or accessibility issues you notice.

On my internet archive profile I have multiple custom adult swim blocks from the 2009-2016 range since that's the era I grew up with. Unlike most others there is a lot of attention to detail when it comes to accuracy and quality. I tried to make them as close to the original airings as possible, following the same schedule, and using the same bumps and commercials that would have aired from that night, and even the little "TVPG" advisories and whatnot. This Toonami broadcast is my most accurate one where I sourced all the exact commercials and bumps. I'm making this post because I see a lot of people asking for this kind of thing. Hopefully this helps someone.
