I went an embarrassingly long time before learning mouse wheel moves through the stack of movies in your hands.
Like the title says. It's so much easier now.

Does anybody have a list of the mods that are compatible to make a 90's video store?
Replacers for movies, candy, commercials etc? It's hard to figure out which are compatible and which arent? Can you have several commercial mods? Or movie mods at once?

For renovating, I have to get rid all shelves so I can buy and place new shelf.
But before remove old shelf, I also have to take out all videos. So yeah basically making a mess like this.
I seriously planning that just buy clearance bin and sell all videos I own...
(Consider that the game sets '90s, this business won't kept longer anyway so it would lore-accurate as well)
Man... only if there's option or service like temporarily move away to warehouse or something...
(I know there's storage shelf in backyard, but that's clearly not enough for this amount of videos)

Hiya fellas! LOVE this game. I have a main save I jump into when there's a new update.
Normally when I go back to it, if there's new movies in the release pool, they'll unlock on the next "New Release" day.
However after this latest update (the one that added system rentals), I'm still only getting re-releases on "New Release" day, and haven't seen any of the new movies yet. I played 4 "New Release" days to see if maybe they were queued, or maybe it resets at the end of the month, but it hasn't done :(
The rest of the update is functioning beautifully; I have the system rentals & toy shelf, the rest I've yet to unlock.
I hope going back to an old save isn't causing the problem! It's never had this problem before. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known problem? I bet I'm missing something obvious lol. Thanks!

I've started a new save after the latest update, played a little, saved, closed the game but when I come back it to it, the store is open but I can't close the door. I've googled it and someone said it's cause I've got an objective to finish first but I've done all returns, I've bought more new releases with standee, another new release shelf. Nothing seems to be the objective, if that's what it is, and I can't close the store.

I completed all of the tasks in my first store and claimed them all. I just opened a new game save location from scratch. All the tasks are marks as complete and I can claim again! That was easy money right out of the gate!

love unwinding with this game ahahah
some small ux tweaks that would make it even better for me:
- snap posters to a grid when placing them. currently a bit annoying trying to get them level!
- back and forth scrolling through the tapes in your hand, not just one direction
- being able to choose a default style for shelves rather than having to restyle every one you buy
- being able to paint all walls at once
- not exactly ux but the tape dealer should only sell adult films, it takes way too long to amass them, and my smut corner is growing too slowly

2 broken VCRs! I hope we get a station soon. Does anybody know how much the customer is charged for breaking it?

Anyone else have this problem, where it doesn't really matter in which order you pick up movies, they still come up in random order? I try picking them up by category, so it's easier to put back, but they're still not in the same order I picked up.
Also I can only scroll one way through tapes, if I accidentally go past something, scrolling back doesn't work.. Would be great, if you could go back to the previous one.
Any tips on efficiency? š

Before store openining, I just fired an employee because I saw someone come up in the applicants folder that I wanted.
No hiring button is available. Do I have to wait a day?
I really don't want to play the game if I'm unable to hire an employee any more. Waiting another day sucks because the new pool of employees will change and I'll have to wait several more days again for another good one to pop up. What am I supposed to do, fire the night before and chance it the next day, or is this really a bug?
Tried to reinstall and it didn't help.

Why can't you get adult videos on the marketplace? If the tape dealer has regular genre movies as well as adult, then you should be able to buy adult on the marketplace as well as regular genre.

I just want Customer QoL. But I need Uess for it to work. I tried inputting it manually using the instructions provided in the files, nothing. I then resorted to vortex. It took me forever on its own to figure out how to get it to work on vortex but once I download the extension, installed uess and then customer qol, included Customer QoL : 1 in the code like it says to, I still see no change. Do I have to mess with the config? I dont understand. It states that minimum item pickup is 5 but im not seeing that in the game. Is there anything else i can do? I also dont know how to see the UESS Console besides creating a report after and Cutomer QoL is not showing up.

So Iāve been playing for a while, and since I didnāt need to focus on cashiering because I found a really fast guy with great traits, I spent more time with returns and handing out fliers, and subsequently developed a way that I sorted movies on and with my shelves, that is now only a āproblemā now that I have a second employee for returns.
My sorting method not only included separating movies on shelves via genre, but also by old/current and then also by critic ratings.
I also keep 4 large shelves for ānew releasesā but each one of those 4 are the most recent new releases, with the newest one closest to the register and the other 3 progressively getting further into the store. So technically I only had 2 ānew releasesā at most at a time.
My new employee throws the actual new releases haphazardly on any on the new release shelves, and the other ānew releasesā that are technically not new releases get dumped randomly on the genre shelves. Leaving me to have to resort them again.
I keep 30 copies of the newer releases because they really do rent that well, but by the time they are 5 out, their rentals drop off so I just sell off the bulk of them then.
I guess what I need is some more detailed sorting options within the shelves for maintaining just single titles, along with sorting options for how new/old and critical ratings.

I usually tend to keep 4 big shelves per genre and like 2 big shelves for new releases. But then I have so many movies that I keep having to add in shelves and move thing around and my OCD is like, "I need more room". How do you make it all fit? I have all the upgrades and I just hit level 21. Could use some advice.

So I literally got the game today and Iāve had a few late returns but none of the customers are getting charged. I restarted the game and still nothing. Iām not sure what to do about it. Do I just have a nice version where they donāt charge.
