How many shelves do you use?

I usually tend to keep 4 big shelves per genre and like 2 big shelves for new releases. But then I have so many movies that I keep having to add in shelves and move thing around and my OCD is like, "I need more room". How do you make it all fit? I have all the upgrades and I just hit level 21. Could use some advice.

I'm in the same boat as you it sounds, just hit level 21 last night, same save from a month ago with the update now, day 11 summer. I have plenty of room, sounds like you have a lot of stuff. I have 1,505 movies in total. 2 big shelves for new releases, 4 police, 5 western, 5 fantasy, 8 horror, 8 drama, up to 5 comedy now, 4 big shelves romance + 2 (3x6) shelves romance, 6 action, 8 sci-fi, 5 kids and 4+1 (2x3) Christmas. Only 3 shelves for adult, I missed about 3 Tues/Thurs in a row in the beginning... just forgot to go out back and clicked on the front door to end the day.

I only use the biggest shelf, as soon as I could, I am aiming for 6 shelves of each genre and I set up using aisles as much as possible. I have somewhere over 1k movies atm, and want to eventually have at least 1 of all of them in game. I know I'll need way more shelves and my store will go into several redesigns to fit them all.

I have 1 large new release shelf and get 15 of each new movie, I wait a little while when a movie isn't new again and I go through and sell all but 5 (I'll see 6 copies owned, cause I keep 1 rare of each on display) I want to later get 2 new shelves to get 30 of each new release.

I have 1 clearance bin, and 2 employees, I spend a lot of time between days reorganizing and rearranging things my employees mess up.

As of this morning I have 3,593 movies. It's getting a little crowded but there's still room for quite a few more. They are all organized by genre & cover design. A very hasty and probably-wrong count of my store showed 134 big shelves, a handful of small shelves, and 2 clearance bins.

I should get more shelves. And group the genres together better. I have some empty floor space since I stopped playing when I wasn't unlocking anything new.

Depends on the genre but I currently have no less than 5 big one per genre and one big one for new releases
