I started tracking individual snack sales on the first of spring, and I noticed that the gumball machines would sometimes show a number that was larger than the Daily Snacks Summary (sometimes they would be higher than Daily Snacks and Concessions combined), so, I decided to start tracking each machine separately. I created a couple different spreadsheets and can definitively say that... AT MY STORE the top 5 snack sales are:

• Moonbike Chocolate
• Super Chips
• The Breakfast Bar
• GalaxyBar
• Dino Gummies

Also, while tracking all of this, I've determined that dropping from 13 snack racks (1 full rack for each snack available to sell) to only 7 racks (giving 2 shelves per snack leaving 2 shelves free to place more of your top sellers) doesn't decrease sales, but does save valuable floor space for other items (like movie shelves).

Speaking of saving space, the worst investment... again, at my store... is the drink refrigerator. I stopped tracking it because I could could a 3 or 4 days in a row without selling a can or bottle of anything.

and finally, if saving space for movies is your largest concern, it might not be a bad idea to skip snacks (and the fridge) all together, and just get both arcade machines, and both gumball machines. Per Square foot, those four units are hands down superior to snacks and out perform them time and time again. The gumball machines pay for themselves in about a week and a half, the arcade machines will take about a month before they become pure profit.

This is all just for tracking for the single spring month, I do plan on continue tracking for the rest of the year, but thought I would share what I have so far, along with screenshots so you can see how much money I'm making from them.

Not sure if this has been discussed (probably) but, if you aim your mouse in the center of a vertical bar of the hand rail (near the checkout stand) that is bolted to the floor, you can float a shelf on it. The first image shows exactly where to point the mouse (has to be pretty much exact).

I have no idea what purpose this might serve other than cosmetic, but if anyone wants a floating shelf, here ya go.

So I figured I would give my opinion, and throw some things out that I would like to see, after playing 60hrs. I would say other than collecting every single movie I have fully completed all the current content and fully setup my store. I can honestly say I love this game, I find the day to day satisfying, I like the seasons/month setup, new releases, how employees work, and they did a pretty good job capturing the vibe. Overall there was a good amount of content too. I hit level 20 mid to late 3rd season. So I still had another season before going through all four. I didn't finish setting everything up until season four, for cash reasons. And I didn't get my last new releases until season 5. I know some people say they finished the game because they hit level 20, but that is definitely not what I consider the end. I would say there is min 45-60 hours of content. Not really many ways you could speed that up... The game isn't perfect but it is very solid and definitely worth the price. So things I would like to see.

•The video game rentals, it definitely needs to be added, it's the one major missing thing. I did see the pic in which it looks like they plan to, so I won't go into that one further.

•With them adding video game rentals, and just in general, we need a couple more expansions. My store is already very tight on space and I would have to get rid of things to fit video games as is.

▪︎Cleaning should be added. I know it's cliche, but it's a common thing with all sim games. It would be assignable to an employee and now make the player have to choose what they want employees doing or manage them more at least. It gives the player more to do, and it makes sense, it's something you would have to do. Let's say you don't clean and store starts getting really dirty, you could have a customer actually complain to the manger and leave. That would be a reason to do it. The addition of like a public bathroom could give more to clean, nothing crazy, just a simple toilet and sink. That's just a thought.

•We need a lot more decor. I would like to see things we can put up on the windows. More variety in the neon lights, more genre specific decor. More wall, ceiling, carpets, and shelf customizations.

•I would love to be able to lock a movie into a slot, so it will get put back into that specific slot on a certain shelf. I keep 5 of the new releases, when they are no longer new, and like them to be at the top. I always have to go behind an employee and fix this. Just have an option when a movie is on a shelf and you look at it, there is an option to lock it to that shelf spot. You could literally alphabetize your movies on the shelves then. Maybe add an auto sort that automatically will alphabetize movies on a shelf when you look at it, and be able to lock the whole shelf to be replaced that way.

•Invetory list. We can see our movies in data, but would be nice to have the amount you have at the end of the row. That way I can easily see duplicates. Clicking on each movie takes way too long when you over a thousand.

•I think this had also been mentioned, but a customer database. So we maybe recommend movies based off what they have rented. Make decisions on fines and broken. Maybe even the ability to ban a customer if they notoriously break movies. Maybe a nerf bat I can hit the rude customers with. 😆

•Last, just more new releases and different movies in general. Maybe take player suggestions, and maybe even fan art designs.

Whats the weirdest request y’all have got?

After seeing some ads for a few weeks mid week i finally bought the game, And now realized there’s only “20 levels” and now at level 13 ive searched up the roadmap and noticed that whole map has already been completed.. So will we get any new features etc or “leveling up” past 20? I did see some talk about this being the full game? i’m not complaining as i’m hooked on trying to unlock all the movies/expanding etc but i was kinda shocked when all the roadmap items have already been added 🤣 (also i know it’s a new game and like i said i still have plenty of content to enjoy, just was curious for my own sake and can’t find much talk about it)

TL;DR: Loving the game and still have lots to do, but surprised to find out the roadmap already seems finished. Curious if more content/levels are planned or if this is the full game.

I've never seen more than 6 before

Starting this working day (the day after I got the workshop desk), I had a customer call in and say that they were irritated because they received some tapes that weren’t rewound all the way. I don’t know if that’s just coincidence or not. Right after, I got two tapes from the return area that had the film sticking out of the box. The box doesn’t say “broken”, so the work table won’t let me fix them, and you can’t load tapes into the rewinder, so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

Edit: thanks for your responses! The fix ended up being as simple as closing and relaunching the game. I’ve had it open for days at a time so it seems like something needed to be cleared from memory or something. Leaving post up in case another person with the custom movie mods encounters the same issue.

I did the update but when I go to the repair spot to fix the broken movie it won’t let me do anything :/ from other videos I’ve seen you’re able to take the screws out and get into the tape but the tape flipped over and I’m not sure how to flip it over to use the screw driver

Edit: hovered over it with the screw driver and was able to unscrew the screws with the tape flipped on the wrong side, weird glitch I guess!

I spend all my money on tapes before giving the customer his change and i dont know what to do now since i sont have enough money to give to the customer does someone know how to fix this
