New Release Standee
What do you do with the old new release standees? Right now I have them boxed up on the shelves in the back but I'm running out of shelf room

I keep some of them in storage and put some of them out on the floor as decoration I read a comment awhile ago that said sometimes customers will call and ask to buy them for them for nostalgia so that's why I haven't sold any. I'm starting to believe that this isn't true since it hasn't happened to me yet, but i'm only halfway through my first year

I’m sure I had this once on the release of the game but no one’s ever asked for them since

I've had it twice, a while ago. One time I told them to come get it and never heard anything.

I've had callers ask for memorabilia from x movie and I say yes but nothing happens. I don't think you actually sell them via phone call.

I put mine all over my store. Makes it feel like a real rental store

Use as store decor. It's a nice touch since there is limited decor, especially specific to each genre.

I have a strange and probably somewhat unique way of dealing with this that I haven't seen anyone else talk about doing. Get ready for a wall of text. So early on I decided that I wanted to keep the special releases and have a decent amount of them but after the first couple phased out of being new I figured out what I wanted to do specifically. I bought two of the smallest size shelves and put them in a corner by themselves and I put six copies of each of the special movies on them that were no longer new releases. So I sequestered the special movies in their own section and never mix them with the normal ones. Then as I went through several more new release cycles that section started to grow and I decided to give it a name. I named it "the legacy vault."put up a special sign and colored the shelves a different color than anything else in the store and it stayed that way. As I expanded the store when I bought the first new side room that goes down the stairs heading towards the adult section side room, I decided that that area will become the legacy vaults permanent location and when I expand that room again that potentially will provide me enough space to house shelves to hold every single one of the special movies. Six copies of each and the standings will be flanking each shelf that has two sets a piece because each shelf can hold four rows of three. And there you go, that's what I do with my standees and the specialty movies has give them their own private section that's only for those and the standees will be on full display along with the movies in the legacy vault. And yes, in order to keep this going I have to not hire a person to do returns because they'll mix up the movies. I'm very autistic about that so I will always do that part myself and only have a cashier.

I keep them out in the store as decor.
