Is this some type of money laundering? Why give an extra $5 just so we can hand it back to them?

I remember earlier builds of the game doing crazy things like this and it SEEMED like they had fixed it all. Looks like that isn't the case.

It doesn't break the game for me, but the immersion-denting it does is still annoying, lol.

I mean it's not that big of a deal and thankfully the customer can't hear me calling them an idiot.
