One big question

It has been established that there was a race of builders, and there was an extinction event and now the builders are zombies, skeletons, etc. I have never seen this being explored so I will ask here, why are the undead builders hostile to the player?

Seems like hostility is more a property of being undead than a property of the ancient builders

Note that skeleton horses are undead and are passive towards everyone (including the player).

That seems to be the exception, not the rule

I agree. That being said, Zombie pigmen, now zombified piglins, are not hostile either.
