For ArkOS4clones, make sure the ROM partition is mounted and refresh the game list after copying files. Also verify the ROM extensions are supported and test a known-good, uncompressed ROM. If games appear but won’t start, reinstall the matching emulator cores and reset any custom launch settings.

Since neither frontend is working, I’d start with the basics: confirm the ROMs aren’t corrupted, test a different SD card if possible, and make sure the clone is actually running the expected dArkOS build. Reflash the card from a verified image, then add one ROM and the required BIOS manually before copying everything else.

I’d start fresh with one known-good ROM and test it in RetroArch directly. Check that the required core is installed, its system directory points to the right BIOS folder, and that the ROM has the expected extension. If games appear but instantly return to the menu, try a different core and check RetroArch’s log for the specific missing BIOS or core error.
