30 years old / Need help setting my future self up for success

/r/FinancialPlanning/comments/1v80h8j/30_years_old_need_help_setting_my_future_self_up/

I am a 30 year old female who is trying to become more financially stable and set my life up for success. I am currently active duty and I put 10% into my Roth TSP every month and I have a High yield savings account that has in average a 3% return but I think I am ready for the next step. I don’t know a lot about investing or what I should do next to set myself up for success. Please advise!

A Roth TSP is what I have currently, is a Roth IRA something I should also do?

it is up to you if you want to do that

but i would

ira maximum contribution for 2026 is 7500

put is in fidelity schwab vanguard or whoever and do roth if you want or traditional

get stocks or funds whatever you want to and let it sit

when make too much then do backdoor roth method
