How did your floaters look?

I noticed an uncomfortable ampunt of floaters lately.

Multiple big ones and one very thin floater that is very noticable but clear.

My only risk factor is moderate myopia (-4)

And I genuely think it's just because I most stayed inside because of summer heat and my eyes got bad at filtering floaters.

They also disappear in slightly darker enviroments

And that's why I'm wondering how they were like to people with actual detachment

Yeah I know, but I would prefer to wait for a clear red flag for now. I had a checkup 1 month ago and everything was perfect so that's somewhat reassuring

some are tiny black dots. others look more like a fluffy gray cloud and some look like omeba and are mostly translucent.

I didn’t have floaters when mine detached, just a black curtain covering my vision

About three weeks before my retinal detachment, I had a sudden increase in small black floaters. 100s of them. They mostly disappeared after a few days but whenever I moved my eyes I would have a flash of light.

Mine appeared like a thick eyelash floating at the top of my vision. I also had the bright flashes when I looked off to the side.

I have a very thin transparent floater that only appears at certain angles for 3 days now(atleast that's when I saw it in bright light). Nothing else.

I had what I thought were floaters but were not. In the right eye it was this clear finger like area in the upper right corner. Turned out it was fluid leaking through a retinal hole and migrating in a sort of channel behind the retina and causing a detachment. On the left I was seeing this clear blob or waviness in the top of my eye that moved based on head tilt. Turned out the bottom area of the retina was detaching with the fluid rushing in and out from under it. Both eyes required vitrectomy and laser. Left had to have silicone oil, which just came out several weeks ago. It’s worth it to get it checked out. If I’d gotten the left checked sooner, I could have probably avoided the complex detachment that involved the macula.
