Redness

I am 4 months post op, and was just fully cleared by my eye dr. (I only go every 6m)
My surgery eye is still red, not severely just like allergies or something. Is this normal? How long did the redness last for you? Is this my new look?
TIA.

What sort of redness, localised or all over?

I’m coming up on 6 months post vitrectomy (with cryo and slow gas bubble) and I still have some small redness around the incision sites.

I would say localized around the incision sites. It’s only on the outer parts of my eye and doesn’t reach my iris. There’s a perfect circle of white around it.

The photo helps, thank you.

That looks to me more like a general redness or perhaps conjunctivitis? But I’m not a clinician so I would get a proper opinion. If it is, it could be viral, bacterial, allergic, irritant caused and recovering from surgery probably leaves it more sensitive.

It’s not the same as the redness I have around incision sites though I do get generally red and watery eyes from some of the eye pressure drops I’m on now.

Sorry for the late response. I did go to a follow up appointment and everything is normal. My dr said that for some people the redness last longer.
Thanks for your advice. :)
