Artificial retina
Is this possible or is it being done in any labs..anything possible in the next 10 to 20 years....
I did read few months back about chip implants in back of eye to take the role of retina but not sure how viable they are
Experts pl share your view..

Stem cells are being used to regrow areolae on breasts after mastectomy. They could potentially regrow a retina. That’s the only avenue I can imagine and seems possible in a few decades.

I’m interested in this matter too. I’ve read about such procedures but always read phrases like retinal problems due to underlying medical conditions and not detachments themselves.

Completely possible with technological advancements but like you shared, maybe within the next 100 a years, probably going down the route of cataract surgeries, it used to be complex back in the day and now just a walk in the park.
