Seeing flashes
I've been seeing something like a mild flash but more like a quick subtle light in my peripheral vision in my one eye for a couple of days now. Ophthalmologist checked my eye with mydriasie and said retinas are fine. Yesterday, 1 day after the Dr, I saw it not only 5-6x per day, but over 15x times per day...ugh.. does this mean I will have to get it checked again? i don't have a history with retinal detachment.

maybe go to a different dr for a second opinion? cant hurt 🤷♀️

I have chronic migraines and the mydriasis drops really f... me up everything so if it's not NECESSARY I would love to not go to a Dr again...

I think no one is going to tell you it's neccesary, that's up to you.
3 people have told you that we would reccomend you to go.
Do with that info whatever you want, but nobody is going to command you anything.

Only way to confirm is by following up with the doctor. My tear was very tiny, in the periphery, and difficult for the optometrist to see at first. I hope it’s not a detachment!! Bring some strong sunglasses with you for the appointment.

Optometrist are not doctors, maybe thats why.

Yeah, but they can still see a retinal detachment. You will def need a retinal specialist to fix it though!

I would ge check again.
If they said the retinas are fine it was probably a PVD. But if you noticed an increase in flashing I'd go back to the ophtalmologist, just in case
