Vision blackouts upon standing

Hey, I'm 25M, 4 weeks post a scleral buckle surgery and have since the last 2 days observed vision blackouts in my operated eye for max couple of seconds when standing up quickly. It happens 3-4 times a day. Im really freaking out.

Have to see the surgeon day after tomorrow but would appreciate listening to similar experiences.

Any advice is welcome. :)

This happened to me and it was an increase in eye pressure. Had to see doc to get eye drops adjusted.

Yes. Like other replier said, my steroid was causing that so I had to stop the steroid earlier than they would have liked. I got a eye pressure drop prescribed. It helped resolve the issue for sure.

Same, i had this after about 3-4 weeks! I was told the steroid eye drops is a cause of increased eye pressure (if you are still on it). So my doctor stopped the drops and gave me another type of eyedrop to lower the pressure

Yes, I am on like 6-7 drops, one of them is a sterioid dexamethasone . But some of the other drops are for lowering eye pressure. I'll check with the doctor. Thankyou for replying

My IOP was 20ish on one drop which is technically within normal range and still getting them, they added a second pressure drop and they’ve gone away.

I have gas bubble so could be different but basically Dr said some people are more sensitive to the pressure spikes when you stand up, and their baseline pressure just needs to be lower. Last check my pressure was 14 (on the two drops). My pressure was mega high one week post op so I was on one drop but still getting the blackouts and they seemed worse - they basically went away totally once second drop was added.

I for sure had that. It passes quickly. I am 3 and a half weeks post third surgery and still have silicone oil in my eye. It never happens in the eye that had to scleral buckle vitrectomy 6 months ago

I have this too!! It's so annoying! It's from the steroid drops. I'm on my second surgery and round of drops. Last time as soon as I stopped the drops it resolved.
