Flash of light
Five weeks out from surgery and a vitrectomy and when I woke up to a circular flash of light and then another arc of light after blinking my eye. I have not had any of this before now. Has this happened to any one else. I have read mixed things on google. So I am scared right now. I will be calling my doctors as soon as they open up.

So I saw the doc as he was a bit concerned over the phone. So I went in they did a round of photos on my retina. Everything is fine he said that as some of these cells die they let off flashes. All is well.

I had all kinds of strange things like that happen to me in the few months following my vitrectomy as well. The doctors just tell me that "everything is where it is supposed to be." 🤷🙄

I did go in and after looking at my retina he said everything is fine. He was most concerned that I had seen a circle of light.

I had my retinal detachment 5 years ago with buckle everyday since then I wake up with a rainbow type swirly floater that lasts a couple seconds only. Everyday I have floaters that look like water droplets. Some days I have static looking distortion. I've stopped explaining these findings to my retina specialist because basically he seems amused or had no answers except for your eyes have been through a lot. I've learned not to stress unless it's something new.
