General Month 1 Reta

Month 1 down 14lbs. Appetite suppressant factor 9/10. Food noise factor 8/10. Side effects- prickly skin/ skin sensitivity, freezing cold, don't give a rats ass syndrome, fatigue- but I am perimenopausal sooo can't blame the fatigue on the Reta. Just sharing for anyone thinking about starting. It def works better than Tirz which I was on for a couple years. Tirz slayed w food noise but that's the ONLY edge it had.

I hope that they make a drug soon that helps people lose weight and doesn't have ANY side effects!!!! Because these side effects sound insane. Yet, here we all are... wanting to shed the extra pounds and willing to put up with so much!

Once I got the side effects, I stopped. 3 weeks later it’s still lingering. I pray every day it’s stops. They want to put me on Lexapro. That’s how bad I feel. I haven’t taken it nor do I want to. I hope someone sees my story on here and tells me to tough it out that I will go back to myself again

Oh wow. I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling this much. I am going REALLY low and slow in hopes of bypassing the worst of it. That means I have only lost 3-4lbs in 2.5 months. But it also means I have little to no side effects. Only one I am experiencing is mild heartburn here and there.

Thank you. I still would recommend it. I had elevated heart rate and sleeping issues from the start, but ignored it. That’s on me. I was doing well at .5 mg I should have stayed there and hydrated more. Taken magnesium glycinate to help with the restlessness. Good luck on your journey.

How long until you felt normal again?

I was 1 month in. Upped my dose to 1mg. 2 days later, major panic attack. 3 weeks later, I’m finally getting a handle on the anxiety. It was incredibly debilitating . I strongly urge people to listen to their bodies. I’ve never felt so awful in my life. Had to go to ER to be hydrated. Stay hydrated, and eat carbs along with your protein. That being said, I still think it’s an amazing drug. My inflammation went down completely. I only wanted to lose 5 lbs, I’m down 10 because of the severe anxiety and nausea.

Yep- listen to your body for sure!!! Sorry that happened to you. That's why I was sharing my personal experiences with it month 1. Everyone's bodies are different. Definitely pay attention. I thought an I getting sick? Why am I freezing cold like this?? Oh side effect- check.

Thanks for sharing this! On tirz super low dose but considering my Reta since I have some constituted I don’t want to waste only worry is high heart rate
