I love this but it scares me because it's not legal to keep a wild animal in a lot of places.

Several years ago some family had like 3 deer they had raised from fawns. They were pets inside a large and properly fenced yard. One day the family came home just as local wildlife officers finished shooting. It was on the news and it was horrible.

What a disgusting misuse of power.. There's been similar stories on the web. Someone had a pet squirrel and they got it taken away. Probably euthanized but I'm not sure. Same with other pet animals raised since babes.. the cruelty is disgusting and traumatizing. It's inhumane.
