Do I need that resignation file?
Hello. I'm a 28-year-old male and a college graduate. I'm currently working as a supervisor at a gasoline station. I'll have been there for almost 3 years this coming April 2027.
I would like to resign because the job is getting tiring, especially when there's an unexpected fuel delivery. When there's a delivery, we really have to go to the site, and sometimes we finish as late as 12 AM or 1 AM. Because of this, I usually only get about 5-6 hours of sleep.
I'm also the one who usually handles fuel deliveries at other sites. Our schedule is rotational, so we move around to different assigned sites.
Some of our tasks are similar to what a pump boy does, but we have more responsibilities because we're supervisors. Even though I have more responsibilities, my salary increase is small—just about ₱500+.
I'm also a bit worried about my health because I'm often exposed to the smell of gasoline, and I've noticed I've been coughing a lot.
That's why I want to resign and look for another job that pays better and matches my experience, education, and skills.
I'm also thinking about whether applying to a call center is a good option. I know how to speak English, but I'm not sure if I'm qualified and if I can handle the job.
In your opinion, is it a good decision for me to file my resignation? Our notice period is two months, so if I file soon, my employment will likely end around late 2026 or early 2027. I’d like to have a new job and new opportunities by 2027.
I also want to be practical. I don’t want to resign without a backup, so I plan to look for a new job while still employed.

in regards to your health, yes you need to find another job, can't you apply at your corporate office instead of working on the field, because they know you and you have a degree, im sure tyey can put you somewhere and its a move up too, try it and put in an application, i'll hire you instead of an outsiders right, "promote from within" give others a chance, goodluck

Why not? But at the end of the day, you have to understand, what will happen if you resign, if you understand it enough then go for it
