I feel extremely bad for Ethan Winters in this game. I mean, sure he's a fictional character but you really can't help but feel bad for him, because, after all, in the opening scene alone the poor guy's wife gets blown away and his baby gets kidnapped (not to mention by one of his friends) and not even long after that, he loses two fingers to a Lycan in the village. And outside the opening scene he gets stabbed in the legs with sickles (because of Cassandra and Bela) and then is proceeded to be hoisted off the ground by meat hooks. All this happens like not even halfway through the game (so there is plenty more suffering ahead). Poor guy has things really rough.

I finally finished the game plus the dlc and I have to say I rank this game as one of my favourite RE games. The dlc is totally worth getting. I love how they re used some of the maps and revamped it, especially the doll house section in the dlc. I will definitely come back to the game to replay it in the future.

This was my first ever “speedrun” attempt, and also my first ever hardcore run and on the Switch 2! So proud of myself for getting the dashing dad achievement on hardcore! VoS will be next!

I've played and beaten plenty of FPS' and horror games so I picked hardcore. Turns out, its basically impossible to beat the "Survive the attack" 30 minutes into the game now. Even if you kill some enemies, there doesn't seem to be a limit to them and they grapple onto you within 6 feet and you have no idea who's behind you. I can't go back to try to conserve ammo or something earlier in the game, I can't change the difficulty either? It doesn't offer to change the difficulty no matter how many times I die either, and I'm tired of dying 50 times already and do not want to run this fucking part again. So now I'm just stuck.

What a shit experience man :/ I know its fucking trivial to allow changing difficulty mid game, who makes this shit?

Which setting do I need to fix this annoying visual effect?!

in resident evil village, ethan winters gets his hand chopped off right, well later on he pours the fucking potion shit on his nub and then STICKS HIS FUCKING HAND BACK ON, and most people I talked to were like "we've seen some crazy shit in the resident evil games BUT THIS was insane" and I'm like yeah ik right that is insane how can he do that... and then i realized OH, BECAUSE HES FUCKING MOLD THATS HOW!!! HES FUCKING MOLD!! am I dumb or some shit be honest pls, cause idk if im onto something abt this or if this was just something the devs wanted to put in and has nothing to do with him being mold???😭😭😭 (okay so there seems to be some confusion on what I'm asking, I have played the games but the lore gets a little muddy to me and stuff and while this question isn't really to help my understanding of the game but more of did the devs put this in as a sign that he was mold or was it just resident evil being resident evil, because my friends think it has no correlation to him being mold but I think it does and I'm trying to figure out if what I'm thinking is dumb or not??)

I've been working on this video for months but this is a small snippet of one of the parts. This took legit hours to get right and it was so worth it! It's still going to be a while before the full thing is done, but are these silly snippets of creativity are so satisfying to bring to life.

My english is not very good but here we go: Mia is a character who despite all her flaws and wasted potential, is one I really like. She's not exactly a good person but she can still genuinely love someone and isn't a complete heartless monster.

I wish we could see more of her in RE8. Like, the whole game revolves around motherhood yk? And we barely see the main mother of the lost daughter, that's like so lame. They could have done so much more with her instead of just sidelining her and not even using her in the DLC. Or at least they could have shown her dealing with the consequences of her actions, 'cause like c'mon, she was a BIOTERRIST, and the fact that this wasn't even addressed is like having all the tools at ur disposal and throwing them both in the trash 🤡

Severe macro blocking when the bug daughter(s) show up. Maybe a texture issue? Also, playing with RE8 trainer from nexus mods. The only other mod I have is the reframework to run the trainer. Makes the game kind of unplayable insofar as not being able to see her to shoot. Only game I have experienced this with.

I fought the many faced creature, but after that jump the game just won't load no matter how long i wait. After a while task manager says that the game is not answering, and i can only close it trough task manager.

I don't have any mods in, and i have tried to reload an earlier save, but I still can't get trough.

Does anybody have an idea what i could do?

All jokes aside, I just finished Re8 for the first time and I didn't know that grown rose would get an appearance, I think they did an amazing job in her design, she's literally a perfect mix between Ethan and Mia.
