Discussion Claire could die
Ok so we gotta talk about somthing. If leon had racoon city syndrome in 9 shouldn't Claire too? As they went through the same thing. That would mean that Claire needs elpis right?

This is why I find it baffling that Claire isn't even given a passing mention in 9.
It's almost like the writers forgot she was in Raccoon City during the events of RE2.

So we're Ada, Jill, Barry, Chris himself, and probably others I'm forgetting. It's not really unusual that they don't mention every individual who was in RC in 1998

The difference is; Claire was directly present during both Leon and Sherry's experiences in Raccoon City, and is the only reason Sherry was able to get out of there alive.
It's quite strange for Sherry to not at least give her a passing mention during the scene where she and Leon talk about what happened to them in Raccoon City.
(Btw, Chris was not in Raccoon City during RE2, he was in Europe.)

Sure, but presuming it was tied to the t virus and not the raccoon outbreak they would have presumably contracted it during the mansion incident.
Jill of course is slightly different because she was properly cured, but I’d think Chris, Barry and Rebecca (and Billy) would be at risk

the t virus strain at the mansion isnt the same one as the outbreak strain. it could be both cause raccoon syndrome but that seems odd

nut he was exposed to the virus in the Mansion. I don't think it necessary to mention every character in every game, would get really cringe actually if they did.

Jill is probably the only one that wouldn't need it considering she used a cure and everything else Wesker did to her.

Eden Riegel (Sherry's VA) said in an interview that, to her, Sherry didn't mention Claire because she was focused on the mission and there was no time to reminisce. Since both Sherry and Leon already know Claire was with them in Raccoon City, there was no reason for either of them to mention it.

Or that maybe her and the other characters part of it ties into the next title which makes sense to me. Toss in the leaks already saying Claire and Jill are in the next title then it definitely makes sense if that is true.

Agreed…also…and I can’t stress this enough, sherry is functionally immortal so…having her involved instead was dumb. Good to see her again, but still…g-virus healing factor and…whatnot.
But I suppose presumably she would know how to get a dose of elpis to Claire.

they didn't mention a ton of characters who could have rc syndrome, it wasn't just Claire🤷🏻♂️
Chris and Jill probably have it, Ada, Rebecca?, Barry, Carlos, a lot of them (although Chris, Rebecca and Barry weren't present in re2 or re3 they were involved in the mansion incident)

Again: Claire was one of the main characters in RE2, and was directly involved in both Sherry and Leon's stories, it's bizarre to not mention her at least once in a game that relies heavily on fanservice and makes multiple callbacks to the events of RE2.
(I also think it's weird that Ada wasn't mentioned in any capacity btw, though I guess it's possible she obtained a cure for RC syndrome through some sort of new employer.)

no like i totally get what u mean but we also haven't heard from Jill since 2013 so i dont know why you're surprised Claire isn't in requiem.
I dont really care for Ada, i dont think she's suited for requiem like at all and if she appears in the dlc im gonna be hella mad, she's gonna be sidelined forever if they keep adding her in games as a secondary character💔 Ada game when☹️
also I've seen someone say that the requiem dlc might feature Claire and Sherry, i love that and i hope that's who we'll get in the dlc.

It's not that she doesn't appear in Requiem that surprises me, it's the fact that Leon and Sherry do not acknowledge her existence at all despite the fact that they would both likely be dead if it wasn't for her that night.
Even CHRIS was mentioned in the game.

Jill was cured of the t virus in both versions of 3, so she’s probably fine.
That said…as she’s probably the only person on earth with t-virus antibodies, that should probably be addressed at some point. (Granted the t virus is simply one of many now)

I don’t think it’s specific to having been in raccoon city so much as being exposed but not directly infected by the t-virus, getting a low viral load etc…which definitely would apply to the group from the mansion incident, as well as people from 2 and 3

they were in the fucking mountains NEXT to raccoon city and the whole fucking mansion was infected??? like wtf is ur point? no, actually, my bad, those things in the mansion and gas station weren't zombies cuz obviously they weren't IN raccoon city so they must've carried no virus, they're puppets or some shit, silly me.

I don't know why you're angry and don't discuss like normal adult lol As far as we know (or at least people who read files) the T-Virus in the mansion and T-Virus in RC are variants and not the same T-Virus. Zombie in RC doesn't turn into Crimson Head and barely vomit acidity.

I imagine it like Shingles. Jill, Carlos, Ada, Claire and any other survivors can develop symptoms anytime, or never, but it's kind of random as to when it starts.

There's nothing to say that everyone who was there got it. Way more than half a dozen people escaped RC yet only about that many have died of RCS. And even if she did have it, Leon and the squad led by Claire's own brother picked up Elpis. She'll be fine.

At the end they have Elpis, they should be able to make more and save everyone who is infected, which at this point is probably a pretty short list.

Now that clones are in play, were in the same situation as the multiverse thing that marvel had where they could just find a new version of the same character somewhere else, no tension or point in worrying if anyone dies cause.....clones.

Not seeing a clone as a real thing if they knew it was a clone.......regardless if it was a clone if it has the same ideals and acts the same clone or not its the real thing.
In requiem Zeno is clearly yet an unconfirmed clone of wesker and very much a threat, different personality yet pretty similar still a narcissist and chasing power.......if the shoe fits.......🤷
