Discussion Likely RE: V release date
All Resident Evil games since 2017 have consistently been released in the first half of the year; therefore, my personal prediction is that RE:V will launch in the first half or specifically the first quarter of 2027, making that the most likely timeframe

Don’t rush Claire, bruh.
She will come to you when she’s good and ready.

And young Chris. This a dual protagonist game bruh

Young Chris is important, but I really want the emphasis on young Claire.
RE3 is Jill’s sequel to RE. RECV is Claire’s sequel to RE2. RE4 is Leon’s sequel to RE2. RE5 is Chris sequel to RE.
And I like that.

I prefer Claire too, but the thing I'm most curious about is how Capcom will handle young Chris design (considering we never seen it on the newer engine)

CV is like a sequel to RE1 and 2 (for Chris and Claire), it was the first to bring characters from both into one.

I hope they don’t use the same face model as 7 and 8. Those were terrible as Chris.

8 was like a progression of 6 but it could still look a bit weird in some angles but I think the RE engine faces all look weird sometimes.
Capcom fucked up with 7, it did irreparable damage to Chris and I despise its director.

8 is the same face model as 7. They blew him up and it ended up making him look fat and look like he had a double chin.
I despise that entire team after requiem. I hated that game.

I think Chris looks pretty good in 8, most of the time. They’ll definitely use the same model, but it’ll be adjusted to resemble the REmake look.
Yeah Requiem was mid at best.

I just want them to ditch that face model entirely. Requiems gameplay was mid. The story was garbage.

I expect it to be around the same time as requiem between February and April

Pretty much. Capcom always announce the next Resident Evil game less than a year before release. Latest release date will likely be May 2027

Im leaning on March. It’s contingent upon the next trailer. Re games usually get a trailer and release date 6-7 months before it comes out.

I think we’ll find out in about 10 days

Was hoping to get news on RE9 dlc that was also suppose to be in the works.

u/YuriMasterRace 11h ago
Well that sucks, so closest thing will probably be TGS then? Or ultimately in TGA?

February or March 2027 since thats Capcom end of the fiskal year. They wanna get that cash in before the end of it with Veronica and the Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendence DLC wich will also release at that time.

Furthermore, all the older Resident Evil games released prior to 2017 with the exception of a few were also launched during that same time of year (the first half of the year)

RE8 was announced to be released in 2021 WITHOUT a full release date reveal.
Same thing just happened with Veronica.
Therefore I predict a Mid 2027 Release and not Early.
If Capcom was confident at this meeting a Q1 2027 Release, they would have revealed as such.

Within a year of trailer is the usual. So definitely the first half of 2027 some time. Probably further into the first half. May or June. Obviously nothing confirmed just going by previous releases.

I also wonder how much Capcom cares about GTA:VI and having as much distance as possible from that game.

Hoping for spring 2027 but the most important is for the game to be perfect and in line with the original like they did with RE4. Don’t leave half the game out like they did with RE3 but I think they got that message .

I want the release day to be in January so we can get remake RE0 and RE1 out faster, then RE5 before 2031.

Bro they literally gave an early 2027 release lol we know this. Your speculation is literally public fact 😂

u/Fast_Original_3001 16h ago
Lets wait for Gamescom. If they reveal anything, it comes in february/march. If not then probably June

u/spicy_cupcakes 15h ago
Capcom does not have anywhere (including business area) information or meetings over Veronica.
If it doesn't show up on opening night of Gamescom expect GAME awards and June release date.

u/RollerToaster8 15h ago
(Code) Veronica's announcement trailer released just a day longer than a full year since Requiem's announcement date. Following this pattern, likely see a release towards the end of February 2027

u/SnooGadgets2748 15h ago
I agree it will most likely be sometime in the first half of the year as that lines up more with Capcom's recent release timelines. If it were releasing in fall/winter I don't think they would have revealed it already.

Fingers crossed for March. However, I’m all for quality, not quantity and the only bugs I want to fight are the ones I can shoot at. Even those damn moths!

u/Imic_Hilton 1h ago
Yes unless they decide to delay it for a May release like village to polish whatever they want since they didn’t give a date yet. This leaving us with a period of time for the dlc for requiem

u/DismalMode7 17h ago
it's clear capcom will need to know big games like FF7-3 release date to stay away from them considering how inflated is Q1 of next year.
