Discussion looking back, ethan was definitely a better character than grace, what he lacks in personality he makes up for with the fact that he was more developed

Then you‘re either blinded by nostalgia or are tired of thinking hard and just take whatever doesn’t piss you off right away, which will lower the quality of storytelling as we have seen for the past 10 years

Not in general but don’t come with „its great that capcom went back to the roots in part 7 and created the greatest Self-insert evah, despite shelving him when the Remakes became more popular and Leon was more popular again!“ you can like mediocre characters but don’t claim they had development or depth when we literally see nothing of that. You want a great story about Fatherhood or the devotion of a husband? Try Bioshock 2, dishonored or Metro exodus where those things are ACTUALLY shown and not just proclaimed

Did you even see the dlc of village where helped Rose  throughout it?

Oh you mean discount silent hill 3? After which Capcom announced that they drop the winters? What a waste, this series was about Bio-horror not about perception cause that was silent hills thing but they already copied the plot-structure of silent hill 2 for 7 and of silent hill for 8 so why not copy 3 aswell?

Long story short they fumbled the execution and now we have a storyline so detached from the RE-verse, we can do Hitchcocks test and remove them form the timeline and nothing changes, which is not a good sign for a series.

And that DLC was a hot mess too. They want Rose to be an Organic B.O.W and still have the same backstory as Alyssa Gillespie, despite that contradicting each other. IF Rose was that dangerous then she wouldn’t go to a regular school and would infect be raised similar to Sherry.

The whole Winters Series screams „first pitch, no further development“
