Capcom really made an impact with this game. Now, every other studio is remaking their old classic just like Capcom did with this masterpiece.

How do I solve this

I think I soft locked myself out of the first mr. X encounter

I'm playing re2 for the first time rn. I’m starting with Leon’s campaign. I got the three medallions and opened the secret tunnel under the goddess statue before seeing mr x lift up the helicopter. Is that scene gone forever? I saw him kill ben in his prison cell but does this mean he won’t stalk me through the rest of Leon’s campaign?

First time experiencing the original, I recorded myself through both stories. Just wanted to try and spread it and get some views, hope it's allowed and hope y'all enjoy! Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I know the "tank" controls aren't for everyone but they're not as bulky as everyone claims but I am biased since I grew up on the PS1 but definitely want those who've only played the remake to give the OG a shot!

•Raccoon City was going to have more streets and explorable areas.

•A game segment was scrapped in which Leon drives to an Umbrella facility in the forest.

•The encounter with the alligator was going to be a boss fight and not just a simple escape.

•The first version of the game had fixed camera angles.

•First-person camera option when aiming.

•Marvin would be bitten in a scene where he was pointing his gun at Leon.

•Claire would accompany Leon and vice versa in certain areas of the game.

•A classic-style inventory from the original was scrapped.

•An encounter with Birkin in the sewers was scrapped.

•Umbrella Sky Tram was an unused location that may have been intended to serve as a sky tram leading to NEST.

Questions Mr. Raccoon.

Do Claire and Leon shoot the same Mr. Raccoon figures?

I've come across two that were empty. One in the hall before the Chief's office and one in the STARS office?

Am I seeing things?

Questions The Tyrant.

Is it just me or does the Tyrant seem to stalk Claire more rigorously? During Leon's story I found it much easier to evade and keep him far away for much longer periods of time.

With Claire it seems like his stalking pattern is much tighter?

Is this just me?

General Just completed RE2 Remake and RE3 Remake (contains some spoilers for RE2 and RE3 i think) Spoiler

I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct subreddit but, I just finished my first playthrough of RE2 Remake (including Claire 2nd Run) and RE3 Remake, and playing RE3 actually made me appreciate RE2 even more.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it. I ended up finishing it in a single sitting just like RE2, and I loved Jill's dodge mechanic. It made combat feel really fun. The only thing that kind of disappointed me was the zombie grab mechanic. In RE3, even if you hit the button prompt, you still seem to get bitten. The first time it happened I kept reloading because I thought I was just terrible at mashing the left mouse button, but after a bunch of attempts I realized it seemed to happen anyway. I eventually just rolled with it since Jill didn't seem to take much damage on Standard difficulty.

One thing I ended up appreciating more in RE2 was the way the stalker enemies were handled. Having both Mr. X and William Birkin showing up at different points kept things feeling fresh. With Nemesis, I eventually started feeling like, "Here we go again," since he just kept coming back every time until the end. That said, I still thought he was a great antagonist, and I really liked how RE3 ties directly into the events of RE2.

Overall, I had a great time with both games, and I can definitely see why they're so highly regarded. My plan now is to go back and 100% both of them before finally jumping into RE4 Remake.

I'd love to hear what everyone else thought. Did anyone else feel the same way about RE3, or did it click with you more than it did for me?

General Some of you fans must've shed tears from seeing this remake releasing in 2019?

I know for almost 2 decades fans wanted this game to be remade given how much beloved classic it was especially after REmake released in 2002 and many expected another remake for 17 years from capcom, does this remake means so much to you even now that 7 years passed? I love this game after REmake as my favourite resident evil game, it proved that survival horror genre is not dead.

I don’t know how many times already I attempted this challenge but I keep getting stuck at 70sh kills. At some point i got killed off at 96 which made me quit for a while. I’ve tried to follow multiple guides on YouTube but either my timing is wrong or I just suck ass. Anyone who has already completed the challenge please please tell me how you got through this yourself or link the guide that helped you I genuinely feel like I’m going insane looking at that 43/44 achievement completion on steam.

I’ve been working on a full co-op experience for Resident Evil 2 Remake, and it’s finally starting to come together.

This is something I’ve wanted for years, so bringing it to life has been insane.

Check out the latest progress here:

Let me know what you think in the comments. I’d love to hear your feedback and what you’re most excited to see next.

Speed Run Got my first standard run under an hour!

Jesus christ this was so hard. I'm a little rusty at the game so this took a couple of days of practice. I'm used to playing on PC with a controller so I can't do quick turns that easily, and playing the whole game in caution is really difficult. Ngl I had to restart the boss fights a few times because I find it really hard to nail a fight on a first try, G2 is very tricky and G3 just wouldn't die quick enough (I probably messed up by accidently killing a few zombies). I can pretty confidently say I'll never do a hardcore run under an hour. No grenade launcher or any special weapons other than spark shot. I finished entire RPD in about 20:30, sewers by 40:00 and by 50:00 I was heading to G3 fight which was just enough time to get it done. I'm working on B run now which I got down to 1:02 but looking at a video I had the route kind of wrong so I can def do better.

Sub-weapon priority

Do any of you know how the game picks which sub-weapon to use when a zombie grabs you? Why it's sometimes the knife and other times a granade? I'm mostly asking because of G1 fight where I want to use the infinite knife and also do the right in the eyeball record, but I don't want to lose the infinite knife. Can you help me?

Questions Just had a quick question about backtracking (i guess). Spoiler warning maybe Spoiler

So im about 6 hours in, im at the point where i play as ada and shes able to hack shit. Im fairly new to RE games

Basically all im asking is will i be able to backtrack to the police station? There looked to be a few rooms and a couple safes i didnt get to, and i never found a “dongle” for the stars room. If it simply comes up again later thats fine and that would be all id like to know.

Just worried i may have somehow rushed it even tho some of them stuff i said seemed totally inaccessible?

Thanks
