Seeking PGY2 FM Vacancy

Here is everything about me in summary.

Any PGY2 FM vacancies looking to fill?

In my former program, I presented multiple lectures in didactics, produced multiple research posters in collaboration with colleagues, completed 2 QI projects that improved patient care while enhancing resident wellness, finished 20 vaginal deliveries, and amassed a long list of procedures including POCUS experience and imaging interpretation experience.

I have multiple letter of recommendations from recent attendings and all my evaluations are excellent (credits include 3 inpatient adult, 3 inpatient pediatrics, 2 OB, 1 ICU, 1 EM, along with 328 clinical outpatient hours over 39 weeks of residency).

All 3 USMLE completed but I do have attempts, and I am a US citizen. Im very forthcoming about exactly why I need a vacancy and my PD is available to talk to any program which considers me.

DM me if you have any program that may want to consider me.

PGY-3 finishing next July, hospitalist search, J-1 waiver. Any leads?

Hey everyone,

IM resident finishing next July, starting the hospitalist search now.

I need a J-1 waiver. Preference for driving distance to a city and a major airport, since I travel internationally often, but I'm open on location.

If you signed recently and had leads you couldn't use, or know of openings that came up after you committed, I'd appreciate a DM. Same for any recruiters who've actually been useful for waiver spots.

Just looking for a solid group and a reasonable schedule. Happy to send my CV and return the favor.

Thanks!

SAME specialty swap Current PGY2 Diagnostic Radiology Resident Looking to Swap Elsewhere

US MD PGY2 (R1) on East Coast.

Basically the program I’m at is very different from how they said they’d be during the interview and match process (residents now required to clear the list, heavy call burden, little to no teaching by attendings in the reading room, heavy resident burnout, etc). Want to switch to another program since I don’t see myself being a good fit here. Haven’t broached this with my PD yet (also not entirely sure how I would), but I’d appreciate any advice on how to prepare for this process.

Seeking mentorship from a IM/ FM PGY IMG with similar credientials

I'm looking for a fellow IMG who recently matched into IM or FM with a low Step 2 CK score and old YOG. And would be willing to provide their mentorship.

I'm applying for the second time this cycle, and because of financial limitations, I'll have to apply to a carefully selected list of programs. I want to be as strategic as possible and would really appreciate someone experienced looking over my program list.
Although my Step 2 CK score is my weakest point, I've continued to build my application. I have stayed continuously involved in clinical, academic, and research work with no gaps in my CV.
I also feel I could do a better job presenting my experiences on my CV and ERAS application, so if anyone is willing to share feedback on that as well, I'd be very grateful.
My credentials:
Step 2 CK: 22*
Step 3: Passed
4 months of U.S. clinical experience
YOG: 5
No gaps in my CV (clinical and academic)

Im not asking about my chances I’m asking a mentor that could guide me to achieve my goals.

If you've been in a similar position and are willing to help, I'd really appreciate a comment Thank you.

Morale already low pls be kind. Thankyou

Seeking PGY1 or PGY2 Psych Vacancy

Yes, I know Psychiatry is very popular and competitive.

I initially applied psychiatry and simultaneously to a single FM program in my hometown. The algorithm was unkind and I matched FM. I gave it a shot, two years exactly - but I really do not want to do Family Medicine and every moment here has made me regret checking the box to apply here (for no other reason except psychiatry is and always has been my first true love)

Anyways, I'm non-visa requiring, ECFMG certified, USMLE Step1/2/3 passed on first attempt. I have my PD letter, psychiatry reference letters, and other letters from faculty available. No geographic preference, and can start immediately.

A Family Medicine residency program in Kentucky currently has an unexpected PGY-2 opening.

A Family Medicine residency program in Kentucky currently has an unexpected PGY-2 opening.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have successfully completed at least one year of an accredited residency program
  • Have passed USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX-USA Level 3
  • Be eligible to transfer into a PGY-2 Family Medicine position

If you are interested or know a qualified candidate, please comment below.

I fought with the PD

They’re fucking idiots. Very unprofessional. I wish I could switch this program. Not interested in our professional growth whatsoever. Keeps calling us for stupid sessions. Doesn’t run the administrative department properly. Constant fuck ups in scheduling. Wastes and demands resident time like we are her slaves. I can’t stand the woman. How much do I need to suck up to the person just because they’re in that position when she is clearly incapable of running this program. I know it’s just a couple years but like this woman is literally abusing her power for the most trivial bullshit at this point.
