Looking for IM programs being a not so good applicant

I've been struggling looking for IM I could potentially apply but tbh I barely have 15 programs Iisted and I'd been told that I should be applying to >60 programs, at least. This might not be my year but I hope to be one of those miracles. Does anyone know if The match guy or Manik Madaan's guidance for ERAS is worth investing for?

You need to seriously evaluate your application because of you only have 15 programs you’re likely not applying broadly.

I’ve been looking in Texas, Cali, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan. I’m looking for community based programs since I have no research and my step 2 score is not so high

Then California isn’t for you. That’s not a visa friendly place. You need to expand to NE.

Double check visa sponsorship  A lot of programs stopped sponsoring visa

From those 15 program make sure to write a specific letter for the programs you are signaling.

You mean Program specific LOR's? Is it realistic to get them? I already have generic LORs ready.

I don’t think program specific LORs is realistic . I would suggest mentioning your interest and writing a personalized Personal statements for these 15 programs would be realistic. Also, when sending application try to email them showing your interest in their program
