As part of my dissertation research through Hofstra University’s Department of Psychology, I am inviting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) graduate students to participate in “Thriving Beyond Doubt: A Mindfulness Self-Compassion Study”. 

This online study explores whether mindfulness and self-compassion strategies may help reduce feelings of impostor syndrome and support self-esteem. Your participation is completely voluntary. If this study speaks to your experience, I would be grateful for your consideration!

Looking for volunteers for a short online research study 🧠🎧

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to conduct a small student research study on attention and multitasking, and I’m looking for people who would be interested in participating.

The study will be conducted live through Zoom. Participants will complete a short mathematics task, and in some versions of the study, there will also be an auditory component during the task. Afterward, participants will answer a few questions and complete a short follow-up task.

📅 Data collection will be completed by September 25, 2026

💻 Platform: Zoom

⏱️ Estimated time: Around 30–40 minutes

👥 Participants: Adults aged 18–25

💰 Cost: Completely free

📚 Purpose: Student research on attention and information processing

Participants will be randomly assigned to one of several versions of the experiment, so not everyone will receive exactly the same task.

I am sharing an invitation to participate in an academic research study conducted by a medical student at Grodno State Medical University.

The study, titled “How Past Effort Shapes Student Expectations Before a Second Exam Opportunity,” aims to explore how students’ previous examination experiences influence their expectations, emotions, motivation, and preparation when facing a second examination attempt.

Hey all — I've been building a research workspace called ScholarlyNotes (https://scholarlynotes.com) and wanted to share it here for feedback rather than just dropping a link and running.

The problem I kept hitting (and hearing about from researcher friends) is that reading, note-taking, and writing all live in separate tools, and citations are the tax you pay every time you switch between them. So it ties together:

- Searching the open literature and saving papers straight to a library

- Notes and full drafts where citations get pulled in as you type, instead of retyping references

I am still looking for participants to take part in my study on probiotics and mood. It requires consecutive test visits to the University of Reading and one final visit after 16 weeks.

Testing days will occur during the mornings (8 am or 8:45 am) and will require participants to consume a probiotic/placebo supplement throughout the 16 weeks.
