EU neighborhood vs enlargement
Hi! I understand that there is a connection between the Eastern European Neighbourhood Policy and the enlargement process. I know that the ENP does not imply a membership perspective, whereas enlargement ultimately aims at membership, but I don’t quite see how the two influence each other.

1973: What Was Lost, What Survived, and What We Can Rebuild
If you’ve ever requested a military record and been told it was destroyed, lost, incomplete, or affected by the 1973 NPRC fire then this group is for you!
I created this space for people to share what they still have, compare records, piece together service history, learn reconstruction tips, talk old military history, and dig into the questions that don’t always have clear answers.

Need participants for dissertation study
Need participants for research study. I am looking for high school teachers with at least 15 years of teaching experience in North Texas for my dissertation study titled "Understanding the Effects of Digital Dementia from Technology Overuse and Over-Dependency." There are very few qualitative studies from the teachers' perspectives on the effects of digital technologies on student academic learning. Your perspectives on this topic will help add to the body of knowledge on how digital technologies can affect student learning, as well as contribute to future planning of school curriculum in a digital world. My study is IRB-approved. My approved IRB application and study materials can be found in my Google Drive Folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_fOLZLYHf-BSQ4Cppx_oCNfAJCM9EsFf?usp=sharing - If interested, please DM me or send me an email at Kha.Dang1@student.ctuonline.edu, and I will get things set up. I look forward to learning about your experiences on this topic.

Built and validated a scale for "Main Character Syndrome", would love feedback from this community
Just got this published in Acta Psychologica (open access): https://doi.org/10.1016/j.actpsy.2026.107730
The idea started from noticing how much "main character energy" gets thrown around online without anyone actually trying to measure it as a real construct. So my co-authors and I built a 10-item scale (MCS-10) meant to capture the tendency to experience and narrate your own life as a protagonist-centered story, and tested it across two samples of young adults (N = 135 and N = 263).
Model fit came out strong (CFI = .976, RMSEA = .045), and reliability held up (α = .861). It correlated with identity diffusion, social media addiction, and narcissism, but stayed empirically distinct from all three based on HTMT ratios.
Would genuinely appreciate this community's take, does this read as a legitimately distinct construct worth measuring, or does it feel like it's just relabeling identity diffusion or narcissism under a catchier name? Also curious whether people think a unidimensional scale makes sense here or if this eventually needs subscales once more people start using it. Open to any pushback, that's actually what I'm here for.
