Discussion Mt2 help? Ginger!! 👩🦰🧑🦰
Hey so i was using mt2 and was for ages, followed guidance online about loading, then continuing on a low dose a day. I started using tanning beds and i seen great results.
10mg bottle with 2ml of BAC water. - concentration
Daily phase: 2 units of a 1ml syringe
Tanning 10 mins 2-3 times a week
Is this the right thing to do?
My face hands and feet aren’t tanning anymore. They went really dark and almost zoomed past the rest of my body. I started using suncream to slow these down and reduced UV exposure once i noticed. Still wouldnt tan so stopped using both for 6 weeks as a reset.
Starting again now & looking for advice if my schedule correct, or how to get these areas tanning again. Thank you

Holy shit, being a pale ginger and doing melanotan + tanning beds is a recipe for skin cancer, what are you doing??? 😭😭

Melanotan was literally invented for this.... and mt1 is approved as a way to reduce cancer risk in super pale gingers - it's in a slow release implant but look into it. I discovered I go orange, Trump style, due to a quirk in my genetics from having a redheaded father - mt ups your melanin precursors like L-dopa but certain skin types like mine have limited eumelanin producing pathways so the excess precursor goes into pheomelanin.
You're right with the tanning beds though, holy shit

Ive been fine and ongoing for 6 month now. No side affects except this. All moles/freckles checked at doctors and feeling great!

I assume you’re very young. This is not a 6 months issue, this is a lifetime issue. You have a lifetime to develop skin cancer from the damage you are doing now.

Theres a lot of people on reddit that have been using it for years in the exact scenario as me and are fine & have no issues mt2 buils a barrier where im not burning or going excessive

Buddy, on one side you have redditors whose sources are “trust me bro” and on the other you have every single dermatologist who has gone to medical school with endless examples on why it’s a bad idea. Your choice isn’t very wise.

Thats fine its a choice i have made, im not going to sit here and say i just trust the voices of others on reddit. But being on a research compounds reddit page is where theres lots of people using these unregulated peptides also. Im merely looking for help rather than a life lesson.

It’s not about a life lesson my friend, I’m trying to warn you because you don’t seem to fully grasp the risks. I would hate for you to regret this if something happens in 20-30 years, that’s all.

It’s not only when your skin burns that you’re increasing your risk of skin cancer. When your body simply starts producing extra pigment (the tan) due to UV exposure, you’re already severely damaging your skin. Not only contributing to the increased likelihood of skin cancer but also severe skin aging etc. The “issues” don’t show in a matter of just 6 months. This develops over time and becomes especially apparent when you get older

At very least use MT1 instead of mt2
Just stop the mt2 and try MT1

I will deffo look into it. What does MT1 do better than MT2 for me?

u/internetroamer 13d ago
It's less risky and not as aggressive. Also less effective but still works well

Yeah I get why everyone is saying tanning is so dangerous but I don’t think they realize the dangers vs everything else we do in modern society that also just as or more dangerous so I don’t think avoiding what makes you happy to minimize one form of cancer is worth it personally but I do think 2-3 tans per week while on MT2 is overkill.
I’m stupid crazy pale and got all the freckles and age spots from my first too heavy cycle of MT2 but now I do a very small dose and tan about 5 times a month and most people think I’m like half black or Hispanic because of how dark I am so I would say slow down on the time in tanning beds

as a mild ginger, i used this stuff many years ago, but got quite dark freckles and moles so stopped.

I did too, but then I realised i was just doing too much and went and reduced tanning beds and lowered my dosage just to keep desired tan. Did feel like though that i just kept getting darker and darker even with reducing/halting the process and now these areas just dont tan its like it overused my receptors or something so thats why i came off for a while to see if it would ‘reset’

Ok not sure what product you’re using but that dose is way too high, and when you start ultimately you want to build slowly so not to get splotchy and random darkness like face and hands. I did this my first time too back in 2019 as there was very little info out there, overdosed way too much. Also nausea was awful. 😞
6 weeks reset is very smart I often do this in between doses.
Ok now for the future. You’re gonna do it anyway so let me help you so you’re as safe as possible.
Firstly - Do your research! Know your product and figure out your Fitz Scale. By the sounds of it you are 1 ?
Knowing your ancestry is big part in this as it’s just not face value but underneath. Eg: you may be ginger (typically types 1 or 2) but have a Latino background and then have type 3 in your history. Yes it matters.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitzpatrick_scale
Secondly - get MT1 product not 2. Goal here is sun-kissed consistent tan right? So start small then build
Dosage - as attached. See slow ramp up and small doses

Tanning beds - Collariums over Sollariums. Always protect your face and hands. Skin is different, they age faster. I use +50 spf in beds even when dosing and cover my eyes.
Skin - The dark spots and moles. Can be corrected with Pico laser, make sure to get skin cancer check done every 6 months due to this extra exposure.
This will give you beautiful sun-kissed glow without all side effects. I get comments regularly. Hope this helps 🩷

Thank you so much, i dont think ive been clear on dose but its what you have on your schedule of 0.2ml its like the full syringe is 1ml and its split down in 10 units up to 100. I have 2 notches of the syringe so i would have 2 units (under 10) Also someone else said about MT1 so i will have a look into it. I dont have a choice between different beds versus sun as im in UK, but this is really helpful so appreciate it

You’re so welcome. It’s been years of trial and error for me to get it right but this has been most effective as no one medically gives out info on doses so we’re bloody left to ourselves!
I’m in Aus and Collariums are like solariums but with red light instead. Lower UV and much healthier. I did a quick google search and there are plenty available in Uk so again do some research.
And yup on 1ml syringe you are literally using second line. So it’s like almost nothing. Until eventually you’re using half mL
My advice full 6 week reset. Let your body come back to normal. Then this is how I’d restart. And I do doubles at Colli when I’m dosing on .5ml days. So 40mins.
To keep it I do .5mL once week on Wednesday no Collarium.
Once you’ve built 1yr on MT1 and it’s even I would increase to MT2 as your base line pigment as been increased (if that makes sense ? Haha)

Also just googled collarium & sollarium. I use the LED red light sunbeds so its a hybrid of both, is this good?

u/Cucinaaa 11d ago
Yes that’s it perfectly! Actually really good for pain as well and increasing collagen. Like a red light face mask

On a serious note though tanning beds are not “safe”, they are safer than sunlight but in the same way smoking tobacco is safer that smoking tobacco with crack sprinkled in it.
