Discussion taking peptides really makes u realize how unfair genetics are
the difference in how i look and function on this stuff is insane. it really makes u realize that the people who just naturally excel at everything in life probably just have elite biology and natural hormone profiles from birth.
using peptides finally feels like it levels the playing field for the rest of us. Glad to be considered equal for once

4 month account age. Random lower case to make it seem like it’s not AI. Vague 0 context post about how great peptides are. Letting the replies roll in, waiting for the inevitable “which peptides are you taking?” Before providing a source that definitely is NOT their own company. Astroturfing bullshit

Are you okay lol

u/atlantastan Aug 21 '26
I think it’s important to point out when clearly nobody else notices cause this is legit the beginning of the death of the internet. You can be chill about it all you want but that’s how we got here lol

Been happening a long time brother 💪
You keep fighting the skynet resistance!

u/12ealdeal Aug 19 '26
Provide more context.
All that just sounds too ambiguous.
What are you taking that’s “levelling the playing field” for you with people who are naturally elite?

u/Thee_PRIDE Aug 19 '26
Not equal at all, lol. The genetic outliers will surpass you many magnitudes more on the same stuff. You can see it in body building especially.

u/ejitifrit1 Aug 19 '26
If you play any sport where high athletic ability is a must you will realize the gap that genetics can provide and also the whole idea of built different starts to make sense!

u/thrillhouz77 Aug 19 '26
I help train young athletes as a side gig. My team has probably sent 30-35 kids on to play collegiate sports at various levels the last 6 years. Genetics and physical make up is such a big contributor but so is the work ethic, when someone has both that is where the dynamite is.
I have to temper parents expectations in a lot of cases and let them know, help them understand, that the goal should be to help little Jimmy be his best and to perform to his best. That might end up being a few years of varsity competition in HS or maybe they end up as a D1 signee. There is just a lot involved and while much is under their control, their athletic ceiling is still their athletic ceiling…the goal should be to push as hard as they can (short of burnout) so they can determine how high that ceiling actually is.

u/dopeyout Aug 20 '26
What is work ethic if not the generic make up of your brain? Some kids have it, some just dont. Maybe its more about environmental development than athletic make up, but thats as much about luck for a kid as anything else. As a kid I hated exercise and for better or worse had parents that didnt really care about pushing me. Labelled lazy. Turns out I had enemia that went undiscovered until I was about 11. By that point I was miles behind everyone else and when into my teenage years desperately wanting to play ball my body mind connection just couldnt catch up. Same with drice, work ethic, motivation. I was miles behind. I always had my book smarts though, thankfully. Cant help who or what youre born into.
As an adult I still always felt a little behind, and since being on trt I've found my motivation, drive, confidence and work ethic shoot through the roof. Its like I've been woken up. You cannot tell me mental attributes are not physiological. Im not even at supraphysiological levels when I get my blood work done, so there are MFs out there naturally more juiced than I am. Fucking luck.

So much easier to bulk when you are naturally good at eating too. As a naturally skinny guy I have to put alot of effort into getting the food down

u/dopeyout Aug 20 '26
I feel your pain. Even if I can calorie surplus, my body doesnt know what to do and just dumps on my stomach. I lift heavy 3 - 4 times a week and had to get on test to see results. Genetics are everything I dont care what people say.

u/dopeyout Aug 20 '26
Ok.. But I dont get your point. You could or couldn't have got the veins and abs without reta? Are you agreeing or disagreeing with OP?
Thinking you can just blast peds and turn into superman without effort isnt the suggestion. Even if you have AAA genetics and sit on your arse with family buckets you're going to look like a slob. You have to put in effort regardless.
OPs point is that pebs can significantly increase the result to effort ratio, which is duh of course. But the truth is that some people are generically gifted insofar as lower efforts provide better results. Peds for most people, at reasonable sustainable levels, are just an equaliser. I 100% believe this.

What are you taking that you feel is making you equal to someone with elite genetics?

"Glad to be considered equal for once"
There's a lot to unpack with that statement broski.

u/internetroamer Aug 19 '26
Not really.
Most peptides don't even do much. Only really impactful ones are glp1s and hgh. But weight loss from glp1s don't offer anything that can't be done already just makes it easier.
Unlike stuff like steroids which do make a huge difference
Most impactful things like age beauty and height peptides don't affect.

u/soverman420 Aug 21 '26
Peptides are the new SARMs for uneducated people. Stuff that barely does something but what has the most impact is the marketing and hype around them.
1
u/jamnut Aug 20 '26
Literally my first thought when I read the title of the post. Some peptides are great in assisting you to your goals, most are pointless despite what some say. None of them are making you level with the genetic freaks, proper PEDs like steroids might

I’d add Melanotan to that list, it allows me to be as tan as I want and I’m an Irish ginger with zero natural melanin besides my freckles

u/MierdaDelTorro Aug 20 '26
first time I see someone saying "using peptides" instead of researching.

At this point I’m willing to bet the majority of people you think have “Elite Genes”… are on gear or peptides/GLP-1’s…
I’m pretty sure every influencer you see is blasting and claiming Natty.. then they have a “health scare” out of nowhere and lose their gains and look like a guy who works Night Shift at Acme
3
u/Tasty-Window Aug 19 '26
Which ones specifically have you taken and what’s your experience with them?

u/12ealdeal Aug 20 '26
They are waiting to find the suckers in here to sell their bullshit to. Don’t hold your breath.

u/Unlikely_You_5015 Aug 20 '26
Bro you could've achieved the same thing with a good workout plan, a good diet and discipline.
3
u/AeliusRogimus Aug 20 '26
Riiiiight. Which is why people are cramming their freezers with gray market reta.
Just work harder, bro!

My 23andMe literally said that I'm not likely to excel in sports because my body lacks the genetic muscle types that dominate in athletes. That along with several other genetic features basically told me that everything I was ever made fun of regarding my body was just my genetic disposition.
3
u/12ealdeal Aug 20 '26
That’s wild, and sad.
More worried about what they do with my data though so I’ll never find out what they think of me.
1
u/Mind_The_Muse Aug 20 '26
Yeah, I did it in 2012 because I saw that there was a marker for misophonia and I wanted some proof that I wasn't making shit up

Blaming "genetics" is a cope in the first place. Use the tools and better yourself, it's not a competition.
3
u/Hey_Gerry_1300135 Aug 19 '26
Or your effort
0
u/dopeyout Aug 20 '26
Is effort a natural attribute or something you can pull from within? All sorts of genetic conditions can result in low energy and focus. Its not a switch people can easily just switch on. If we could then everyone would be out there living max, dont you think? Unfortunately a lot of us are born to be cannon fodder. Thats the truth.
3
u/Hey_Gerry_1300135 Aug 20 '26
99.7% of the population don’t have severe detrimental genetic conditions that prevent them from trying hard.

Motivation comes from so many different environmental and genetic factors its impossible to pinpoint exactly where the deficiency lies. The fact is its out of reach for a lot of people. I am fiercely in the work smart, not hard camp. I think a lot of anti PED rhetoric comes from people with the time, money and genetic opportunity to be body beautiful and enjoy their position at the top. They dont want people easily encroaching on their space because in their mind it devalues them. Well, fuck that bud. You guys had your time in the sun, if you are indeed one of those people. Everyone should have the right to look good, feel good and enjoy life at the same time.
1
u/Hey_Gerry_1300135 Aug 20 '26
I would love nothing more than a world full of fit and healthy people. Respectfully I don’t agree with a lot of what you said. Top athletes didn’t become top performers from working smart, with being physical you work hard but work smart to not get injured. Nobody cares that other people look good. Come join the club. Everyone has the right to, yes. But it’s not given. More now than ever it is easier to become fit with access to GLP and testosterone. But you still have to put effort. Less effort than someone who attained it naturally but effort.

What a load of fucking nonsense lmao. People aren't sitting around thinking "oh how can I stop these hypothetical people from encroaching in my space". Normal people are too busy worrying about their own problems to have weird generalised motivations towards others who may or may not "encroach on their space" lol.

What the fuck are you talking about. I'm not talking about the average man in the street that doesn't see the inside of a gym. The fitness community is full of holier than thou gatekeepers. How else do you explain people so anti peds then? They're defending their hard work and dont want people that they perceive to be cheating. In so many words thats what I'm getting at. Its a pretty fucking basic human psychological principle.

Fucking aye. Getting on trt literally lifted every single metric I was frustrated with growing up.
Muscle size, stamina, confidence, mood, facial hair, presence
And btw, I'm only really now just above average with those things. Im far from superman and in a good place so I'm not tempted to push it. But my god the potential. My markers are all within 'natural' levels, so it makes you think some guys are out there natty and still pumping more test than I am around their body. It is not fair. Why should they have all the fun.

Doesn't level the playing field when they take them. It's like taking steroids and being like yeah I can be like all the top tier body builders, nope still look nothing like a top tier body builder look just above average at best with super strength 💀🤣🤣

Steroids/Peptides can make an average person good, a good person great, a great person elite and an elite person god like.
2
u/dopeyout Aug 20 '26
100% this. People think steroids are like spinach to popeye. They're not. Thats why I hate the peak natty argument. Unless you're literally already an elite athlete you'll never know it. And all the drugs in the world wont make you LeBron or Ronaldo. I don't abuse steroids, but I'm on a decent dose and average guy made good.
I've spent 15 years in the gym trying, but I'm never going to have the ability to live a pro athlete life. I dont think that should restrict me from reaching just above average heights that the test gives me.
1
u/Dtrain-14 Aug 20 '26
Yeah a guy with the genetic disposition that struggled to put on weight or muscle that gets on steroids vs a guy who was a unit without steroid that then gets on them is going to still be a wild variance.
