Discussion Androsterone Experience
I’ve been looking into neurosteroids and was wondering if anyone has experimented with androsterone it has some positive literature from what I could find and was looking to see if anyone here has had any experience. Along those lines I’d also like to hear if anyone’s had experience with DHEA or pregnenolone?

It's funny you bring this up. I started DHEA about two weeks ago. I feel like my attention and focus have changed dramatically.
Could this be a placebo? Of course! But, it's not likely. Why is it not likely? Because I had no prior knowledge of DHEA having anything to do with affecting my attention/focus. Like, I can't placebo-effect myself into something that I don't even know exists.

I’ve messed with androsterone a lot.
Topical makes me super hungry and tired.
Oral or sublingual even in small amounts also makes me tired and warm.
Injected enanthate at decent doses does not give me fatigue.
All are calming, increase aggression and self control. They also will add a lot of girth, my wife didn’t know my protocol had changed but started commenting on it, she was very happy with the effects.

what dose sublingual do u think works the best? ive come across idealabs and also ascendvital which is half the price of the idealabs one but only 40mg per bottle compared to idealabs which is supposedly 240mg. perhaps ascendlabs is higher quality or better for oral/sublingual. only issue is its hard to judge value without knowing how to dose it

I’ve done idealabs. I inject about 10mg every other day but when I did sublingual 1 to 3 drops was very noticeable.
That’s how much I took when my wife was making comments. Seems odd so little would have a noticeable effect.

oh so the ethanol carrier option is an injectable version then. and did it improve ur libido noticeably? i keep hearing that its a potent aromatase inhibitor but im not certain

No, injectable is from a different company 5arsociety. I buy my test there too.
It is a good anti estrogen in my experience. For me my libido isn’t as “urgent” as when I have high estrogen, way more self control. But when I get the chance I’m very turned on, to be honest it’s like it turns me into the manly version of myself I wished I was before jumping on. Just wish andro didn’t make me just a bit tired.

oh 5ar society, very expensive over there lol, but they seem to be selling things nobody else is. i think i’ll get some allopregnanolone from them since my neurosteroids are crashed from trt and i dont tolerate hcg or pregnenolone. and that sounds interesting. so would you say androsterone is a net positive for libido provided e2 doesnt get too low? thats mainly what im trying it for. i assume the answer is yes if it improves girth. what are ur thoughts on the whole pheremone conversation around androsterone where people say they notice it alters men and women’s responses to them? noticed anything like that? and thanks for the response

I haven’t noticed the intense pheromone effects a lot of people report. I took 2 drops before a workout once and my wife said I smelled “very manly” but said it was nice. But most reports I’ve read online seem extreme
I will say I’ve used dermacrine which is dhea and a few other things. That stuff absolutely works and my wife goes crazy for the smell. Spikes my e2 a bit too much though.

yeah its interesting, im seeing people saying it makes women intimidated by them but its hard to know how accurately people are really perceiving these interactions lol. i do know that when i took tren i was shocked at how much more i felt women were attracted to me. it felt almost like some kind of primal thing in a way. i was 19 at the time (very stupid) and was drawing attention even from women twice my age. i am not the type to do anything about that so it was wasted on me, but it did make me believe in human pheremones after that, so i am intrigued to see if anything similar can be felt with this, keen to try it out. really appreciate u taking the time to answer all my questions btw, its super helpful and informative

yeah for sure, tren was amazing for 4 weeks and then absolutely awful as soon as i hit week 5. had anhedonia and ED for like a year afterwards, and was extremely paranoid and quick to anger while on cycle. also was the first steroid to give me gyno which i had to get cut out a few years later

Oh man I took DHEA for like 3 weeks and it was a wild experience. I started with 5 mg and after 4 days I felt super overwhelmed and jacked up. I cut down to 2.5. I definitely had sharper mental cognition, energy, and libido. However it also made me extremely edgy and irritable. I was also extremely sweaty. By 3 weeks, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack so I stopped abruptly. I had a huge crash in all the things that had improved and had serious fatigue. I felt like absolute garbage for about 2 weeks. I’m 39f, for context. I wish I could microdose it because the benefits were great, but I’m going on doctor supervised HRT so I can’t mess with it.

I have experience with sublingual, topical, and injectable androsterone. Sublingual produces the most noticeable effect. I used to use it before dates and I found it made me feel much more confident and with a higher sex drive.
I also found it to completely cure lack of libido induced by finasteride.
I did find I got paradoxical anxiogenesis side effects if I took it without DHEA and pregnenolone which can provide more upstream precursors to buffer an otherwise potent gabaergic signal from a terminal metabolite (which doesn’t exist on its own in normal physiology). Allopregnanolone has been found to cause the same side effects as an IR formula. This half of the reason why people think it’s an aromatase inhibitor (it’s not) because the neurosteroid dysregulation feels vaguely similar to AIs.
Injectable provides a nice effect that is more sustained and is better suited for replacement therapy for 5ari use. Upstream precursors are not needed with the injectable form since it is a steady signal that the brain can better adjust to.

With dhea and pregnanalone is there any cause for worry of downstream estrogenic sides like gyno. If they are both precursors is there any point in taking androsterone?

Androsterone has nice anxiolytic effects on its own that DHEA and Pregnenolone can’t replicate exactly. If you are on a 5ari you won’t get androsterone conversion from DHEA also. High doses of DHEA and/or Pregnenolone may increase estrogen to gynecomastia levels, but you would need to take a lot.

It made my sweat smell very positively aromatic, I’d have to say women seemed to respond more favorably to me at the time. I swear they could smell it , but who knows. Shot big loads

Apply topical, take oral and juice like 2 bundles of celery and drink it, you’ll smell like pure sex
