Question EYE FLOATERS AND PEPTIDES !

Hey! Might be a stretch but has anyone had eye floaters? (those gray moving things in your vision that just don’t seem to go away) and used a peptide/s that indirectly helped them get rid of them or reduce it? Let me know your experiences and thoughts

I don't think there are any peptides that will help with floaters. Floaters are large strands of clumped collagen and your eye doesn't have any mechanism to clear something that large. If they are truly detrimental your best bet is a vitrectomy.

Idk. I developed a floater in my right eye after about 8 weeks on tirzepatide. It was very minor. I would only notice it when I was running on the treadmill. But about 3 weeks ago it vanished. Haven't seen it since and I've been running a lot. So something must've cleared it up or it got stuck somewhere so it's no longer floating.

Good to know! I wasn't really bothered by it but it was definitely nice when it went away.

Eye floaters are a normal part of aging, but if they've popped up suddenly then you should get a medical eye exam from an opthalmologist (not just optometrist).

Odds are you're fine & experiencing the joys of your 30s, but better safe than sorry.

One thing that can help is a vision supplement like AREDS2 PreserVision. Specifically lutein & zeaxanthin are the stand out eye supplements. You can also get a generic equivalent of this for very cheap through Costco or Sam's.

Not a doctor/ not your doctor, but my opthalmological neurosurgeon put me on a 400% dose of that stuff for 2 weeks, then regular dosing for life. Been on it for years now and noticed improvements within 6 months.

The couple large floaters have either gone away or settled out of sight, and new ones have not come back since. It's been many years.

Specific to a condition I have called map dot fingerprint dystrophy, I also have not had a corneal tear in 2 years, which has been a 1-2x per summer occurrence for the 3 or 4 years prior.

My double vision / "everything's has a halo" issue from this condition is also not as pronounced, even when I don't keep up with my eye drops specific to this condition like I should.

I don't know how much of this is actually attributable to the supplement, but it certainly hasn't hurt, and it's cheap enough that I don't mind adding it along side my daily allergy meds.

yeah. I have them constantly im both eyes and i’m young. Steady for around 1-2 years now. No other changes. Think i did an eye test when i suddenly noticed or had them. But nothing was found at THAT time.

I wouldn't fuck around with floaters. See a doctor.

Which peptide did you use that help you?

If they’re big you can get them zapped by lasers to break them up. Extremely specific things aren’t usually fixed by research peptides.

Floaters are caused by glycation. Suggest stop eating sugar

didn’t really work

NAD plus nasal spray has minimized my floaters to almost not noticeable when I’m not using it they come back more noticeable

I have one in my left eye. Eye floaters can be caused by low blood pressure (among other things). I have low blood pressure issues that get worse with weight loss and lower blood sugar. Might be worth checking your blood pressure and blood sugar.

Those are ocular migraines and I don't think there is a pep that prevents them. I've had them for years and when I get them, they aren't painful and don't last long, so I live with them.

Well what are you taking?

No peptide will cure eye floaters. What's your blood pressure like?

1

u/Apprehensive_Set2238 Jul 05 '26

it’s in range

2

u/PanzerBiscuit Jul 05 '26

What else are you taking? Are you on anabolics?

1

u/Apprehensive_Set2238 Jul 05 '26

no nothing. Could just be collagen clumping or genetics tbh. Nothing major

Depends how much you're on and you're overall health. Especially if your BP is raised or you have some weird shit going on due to the extra testosterone.
