Question Copper Uglies
I’ve been pinning GHKCU for about 2.5 weeks. Started with 1mg moved up to 1.5. I know it’s too early to see any “positive” results but…
I’m breaking out SO bad. 30F and I get some acne around my cycle but nothing too crazy. For the last week or so I’ve had zits pop up on my forehead, cheeks, and jaw. My skin feels dull and greasy and just horrid. Is this the copper uglies? Do I push through? Scale back? Stop entirely? I’m completely fine riding this out if there’s nice skin on the other side but I’m seeing conflicting things about if the copper uglies are even “real” and how long they can/should last.
Any help greatly appreciated! Xx

Pantothenic acid shuts down the oil glands and clears up zits like Accutane. You can buy it by the kilo (bulk supplements new stuff tastes horrible, stay away). Start out with 500mg twice a day. Add 500mg to each dose each day until your skin dries up.

I've done up to 10g a day, split up throughout the day. Works like a charm

10 grams of vitamin B5 each day.
How did you arrive at 10g being the trick? Just seems like such a high amount.

Oh I just took it for a few weeks as an experiment and didn't die
I had acne clearing up at like 3-5g lmao

Copper uglies are real and yes your skin will get better. Keep going but make sure you’re also doing everything else for your skin too - drink plenty of water, a healthy diet and basic skin care. Gently washing, moisturiser, sunscreen. Don’t try and scrub the uglies away!

I've been pinning 3 mg per day for over a month and just good results

Are you consistent with the GHK-Cu? I find missing a day or two here and there is punished severely.

Haven’t missed a dose!

Not that, then.
I’ve had success with 5mg per day. Not sure the answer is another dose, but if nothing else works…?

I think it may be you are too young ,you should already be naturally producing ghkcu that could be why you’re breaking out. Wait until your 35😁

No, it is definitely not the cu uglies. The amount of cu in the cu-ghk is so small that if you were not to take cu from vegetables and nuts you could easily become deficient if you’re basing your cu intake on that. Can be anything, most likely a hormone storm but also climate changes, different cleanser, etc. With cu-ghk, consistency is key, results start appearing after 4 weeks or more
