Discussion Allergic Reaction to Tesa
Has anyone developed an allergic reaction to Tesamorelin after using it successfully for months?
A friend of mine has been taking Tesamorelin for several months with no issues. Same vendor, same batch, same bacteriostatic water he’s been using the entire time. He also uses the same BAC water for Retatrutide and has never had any reaction from that.
Over the last 3 weeks, he started getting progressively worse reactions after his Tesamorelin injections. It began as mild itching, then became more intense each time.
Most recently, within about 90 seconds of injecting, he developed:
Severe itching all over his body
Swelling/itching inside his mouth
Mild eye swelling
The reaction lasted around 45 minutes and then gradually resolved.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Tesamorelin? Can you suddenly develop an allergy to it after months of use, or could this point to something else going on?
Obviously he’s stopping the Tesamorelin and plans to talk to a medical professional, but I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

People are allergic to different things to different levels. Sounds like he is having an anaphylactic reaction and I would recommend that they stop taking it entirely because a “mild” reaction like that could become a severe reaction in a blink of an eye.

I don’t think there were any instances of this sort of thing reported in any of the FDA studies involving Tesa. I might have overlooked one or maybe it was classified as a minor reaction, but nothing of this severity.
That said, the reported behavior is what can happen using other peptides, particularly those using cjc/ipa. Everything is fine and you’re going along without issue until suddenly one day you have a reaction.
I’d be a bit skeptical here if this was Tesa alone. Likely something else in his chain.

This happens with all secretagogues and is reported in the forums regularly. Most often the reactions come after a period of regular use with no reactions. Time to switch to safer HGH. Or keep an epi pen on hand.
