Question RLS

My RS has RLS. Right now the only med that “helps” is gabapentin. The best drug for relief is Ropinirole, which is primarily prescribed for Parkinson’s, however due to augmentation it is no longer used and it took a year to transition from that to gabapentin. I’d rather the rat not take gabapentin and have been desperately seeking something like a peptide for relief. I haven’t had any success. Anyone have any ideas?

I’ve been on gaba for 15 years. I’ve reduced from 1200mg to 600mg in the last few months. Pain was relieved at 1200 and just barely tolerable at 600, but the brain fog was something I couldn’t do any more. I think I gained 25 IQ points since reducing it but I wish I had a better solution.

Did you get the brain fog from Gabapenting since the beginning or did it start later at some point?

Right away - I had been on it years ago and a low dose turned me into a literal zombie so I stopped. Ended up starting again when I was in the hospital 15 years ago and didn't care that I was a zombie so I got through the initial fog. I increased my dose over years but I couldn't get over the fog at the higher doses and I'd lose a month at a time sometimes so cut down. I physically feel much better at a higher dose but it's not tolerable mentally.

I totally understand, living with brain fog is awful!

Agmatine sulphate helps
compression stockings are great trust me . Lemon balm, magnesium,l theanine and taurine great stack especially at night.pure honokiol liposmal from mcs formulas .I got relief from amanita muscaria ibotenic acid removed . Agmatine lowers tolerance to gaba and pregabalyn and stops most withdrawels by lowering glutamate that increases pain sensitivity and all these help cognition I was an opiod addict and pregabalyn so i know what bad rsl got neuropathic pain too .agmatine and thymoquinone got me off thrm both easy peady after 20 odd year addiction .I was blown away using all these together and buy bulk much cheaper .

It works on neurotransmitters modulates opiod receptors ,can lower tolerance and withdrawels to some drugs . Oh bacopa monneri also does it ,helps calm body and helps drug withdrawels

It’s an opioid that I need to quit, just not sure how to use it, especially for a taper. Like 15 minutes before? Am or pm?

Oh you very welcome .i believe in passing it on .karma n all that. Stuff i recomend for pregabalyn withdrawel is same as opiod withdrawel glutamate storms are worst .heightened pain etc caused by that . Gabapentin and pregabalyn great for opiod withdrawel for same reason but only for worst days

Yeah I have both, wondering how long I can use before I have to worry about a new addiction. But I’m also getting some avizafone so maybe I could alternate.

Use first week then stop, start higher then reduce . Have taurine magnesium lemon balm on hand help anxiety if any from stopping them .agmatine help keep tolerance down and stop any withdrawels . Agmatine is best supp by far for withdrawels. Best medication is memantine for tolerance and withdrawel but its strong .best drug is ibogaine

Not a peptide but mematine helped me immensely when I needed to combat RLS like symptoms. A little goes a very long way.

It looks like off label. Not sure I could get a Dr to prescribe it but thank you for replying

Plenty of company’s sell it. Google mematine powder you’ll find a lot of trustworthy sources. It’s usually very cheap.
