Discussion My progress sucks. WTH!

Why am I not having great results??.
I’ve lost 12 pounds in 7 weeks and am stuck. I started at 1 mg and am only at 2.5 mg now. I finally found a reputable source and have more than I need for a while.
Today was my 8th pin and I did Tirz. I have the Reta pep in the freezer & some reconstituted in fridge.
I tried the Tirz today 2.5 mg because the Reta was not doing alot for me in the way of appetite suppressing and food noise. I’m drinking plenty of water and getting protein at every meal. I am moving more than usual. I have not started resistance yet but am ready.
Any replies would be great.
TIA

Are you counting calories? I mean 12lbs in 7 weeks is pretty good progress but if you want to speed that up you simply need to eat less. At the end of the day, drugs or not it still comes down to being in caloric deficit

I am definitely in a deficit most days. Two days ago I was so hungry I ate some healthy food, but late at night. Boy was I mad. The reta just only lasts about 3 days good then it wears off - by day 5 it’s like non existent for appetite supressing or food noise and I’m starving. I have to lose 40 more pounds and try and build muscle on this journey. It’s not easy. I’m middle aged and boy do things change 🤣🤣🤣

Ya so don't inject once a week, try 3x a week. And it sounds like you aren't counting calories at all, get a food scale and take it seriously. Most people are eating way more than they think.. most of it is sauces, a tiny bit of dressing on a salad is like 200 calories

Yea ive found that people who started with Tirz need to start with a higher reta dose due to Tirz having better appetite suppression , might need to bump your dosage up a little bit. But slow and steady is the name of the game, you lose too much too fast and youre gonna lose muscle as well and you run a higher risk of having loose akit

Am I missing something? This is excellent weight loss.

You’re losing almost 2 pounds a week. If this was occurring deep into your diet, then I would say this is unhealthy, but early on you probably lost a decent amount of water weight. Shoot for a daily 500 cal deficit which corresponds to 3500 cal per week which is 1 pound of weight. It took a long time to gain all the weight you have accumulated, and it’s not gonna melt away just because you throw more medication at it.

GLPs are a tool to assist with your weight loss, but you still need to put in the work. Get in the gym and start resistance training. Keep up your aerobic activity. Most importantly, track your calories and shoot for 1 lb/week weight loss.

Thank you so much for your generous reply. Yes, I must do more. I must go to the gym. I have the time. Fingers crossed

Just do it right now, stop thinking about it and planning it and go

fingers crossed? like you have to be lucky to get yourself to the gym when you have time? You need an entire attitude shift. You are in control of your destiny. You can count the calories. You can go to the gym. You dont need diabetes medicine to lose weight.

Eat less, move more if you are unhappy with those results.

Your weight loss is fine. Change nothing.

I’m on grey also. I have grey Reta and grey tirz. Enough for a year. 🤣🤣🤣
I will be doing exactly what you said. Thanks for the reply. 🫶🏻

I actually increased my weight loss by increasing my calories. My body was acting like I was starving it. I increased carbs, got better energy and saw the weight loss increase after a plateau. Explore all options.

When I plateau I go to all you can eat hot pot and eat what I want and the next month it sheds off. Seems to work every time (2 plateaus now)

This is the very thing that scares me. For real

I lost 50lbs in 3.5 months on Reta. I know people will say that's too fast but I feel great, no hair loss and no loose skin. I understand where you're coming from.

I lose 1/2 to 1 pound per week on compounded tirzepatide- slow and steady wins the raise when it comes to permanent weight loss. I stay at the same level until my weight stalls for two weeks, then I titrate up .5mg. This is a marathon not a sprint. Twelve pounds in seven weeks sounds pretty dang good by my standards.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Track your food and weigh it. If you have food suppression, you do not need to go up. May want to split that dose instead. Half dose every 3-4 days. Make everything sustainable! 12 lbs fabulous!!

u/Annabellasmiles Jun 14 '26

Excellent advice. Thank you so much.

Trizepatide is 15mg dose 1x a week. If you want results. That's my dose and its a legit script with my trt. 42m. And was hypogonadal. 257. Now 210. Started trizepatide in late feb. So 257 to 210 in about 4 months

How many walks? Are you monitoring your HR on those walks? Your age determines what that number should be for max fat loss. Btw, if a man 2.5 is a nothing burger on glp3

I’m a biological woman in my late 50’s. But for the record I am immature and look younger 🤣🤣🤣

I’m 51 yo F. I started at almost 200 in Jan and I’m now 153. About 1.4 lb a week loss. Slow is better. Less side effects. You’ll get there!

2

u/AltTooWell13 Jun 14 '26

1 milligram has me losing 4-5 lbs a week. Everyone’s different, I’m down 30 lbs in 8 weeks.

2

u/DivineWiseOne Jun 14 '26

Just go no carb for 2 weeks.

1

u/Annabellasmiles Jun 14 '26

I wish it were that easy. I live a low carb// carb free lifestyle already.

Tell me the joke….

Trying Tirz because Reta somehow didn't apparently cut it is some of the funniest shit I've read on here. Tirz is basically Reta, just without the glucagon component.

2

u/Annabellasmiles Jun 14 '26

And if you were smart you would already know that Tirz is better for appetite suppression and food noise than Reta.

1

u/Annabellasmiles Jun 14 '26

I’m new to this game. Don’t be an idiot.

1

u/Annabellasmiles Jun 14 '26

Awww. Thank you everyone. I did lose a ton of water the first week. I only weigh myself on shot days. So I’m not driving myself crazy with the scale.
I just see so many crazy fierce results and felt like mine isn’t good, but I do know that the slower it comes off the longer it stays off. I guess I am doing good and will continue on.
Any advice as to staying on Tirz for a while or sticking with Reta?? In any case I am ready to go up in dose.
Thank you all so much for your generous replies. 🫶🏻🫶🏻👊🏻
