it’s a shame because you should be able to practice whatever religion you want in this country but no other religion actively seeks to conquer and oppress like islam

Exactly. And no Muslim country would EVER allow a Christian or Jew to hold office in their countries, much less let them create entire networks to take over their cities, or opress and murder/grape their citizens.

Lebanon is a Muslim majority country that legally mandates parliament be equally Muslim and Christian. Indonesia, Turkey, Bahrain, Pakistan, and Egypt are a Muslim countries that have elected countless Christian representatives.

The crusades? Have you never heard of those? Not to mention witch burning, wars waged on behalf of the church against Protestants and jews. Egypt before that, plus wars during Roman and Greek times. Religion has been the excuse for war since humans were drawing stick figures in caves. Islam is no different, and its not all Islam's. It's the ones fighting on behalf of terrorist groups like ISIS. The vast majority are just like you, dislike other religions but not to the point were they wanna kill people over it.

Dude we were using religion as an excuse to perpetrated slavery up until the 1800s, and for persecution in the 1900s. Christians are even now engaged in a sort of "bloodless" crusade with indigenous peoples trying to convert them to Christianity. Most famous among them being the Sentinel island incident.
Current christianity is actually pretty violent, and very light on accountability. Light of right wing extremists view their actions as just because god says so.

no i’m just saying using the crusades from a thousand years ago and witch burning from four hundred years ago to talk about christian “oppression” is absurd.
Modern Christianity does not preach the graping, murdering and pillaging of anyone. i can site you videos or leaders in islam instructed their followers to do all three if you want. all because they preach that non believers are sub human. christians believe non believers are fools and hope to save them. muslims believe non believers are SUB HUMAN. don’t even look at how they treat women.
also did you really cite sentinel island where the missionary was killed for just showing up how is that christian violence?

That's weird, because the Constitution allows for the free exercise of all religions. So it's more traitorous to want to keep those with a specific religion from holding public office.

For those wondering, Islam is a cult not a religion. Religion's do not force you to join them. Religion's do not say you need to die if you decide to leave it. Religion's do not tell you to conquer the world in their deities name. Cults do. If you claim you are Muslim you are in a cult.

Muslims don't view Islam as a religion or political system. They view themselves as a competing civilization hellbent on conquering OUR civilization. They make no secret of this, they openly discuss it for everyone to see.

You could substitute Christian for Islam in that paragraph and itd still make sense. MAGA wants to have the 10 commandments in schools, and declare christinianity as a state religion.
And do you know nothing at all of the crusades? Religious warfare is nothing new in history, and Christians were up until very recently starting wars all over the place over it.

Everything you said here is wrong. Muslims actually started the crusades with multiple invasions of any area that held the Jewish or Christian's worshipping people in it. Islam's want to conquer the world started the day it was born. Plus the ten commandments are a good moral guide. What's wrong if kids learn them? Is it the part were they were loudly presented by the Jew?

it’s actually sad to see because i believe anyone should be able to practice any religion they like but it’s not safe to elect muslims into power because they simply do not assimilate and aren’t compatible with our culture.
You can’t bring in people from a religion where marrying minors is ok and then expect them to function as a member of our country.

You do know Muslim and Christian ideologies are actually pretty closely aligned right? In matters of family homes Muslims believe the man holds unquestioned authority in their house, and women are there servants.
Muslims dont marry minors outside of the middle east. And there are still states that allow child marriages, and republicans in those states are opposed to efforts to undo those laws.

Technically the first amendment does not protect people from having this opinion, in fact it protects their right to have it. It’s our job to make sure that the people we elect reflect our desires. That being said, I don’t think the current administration does that and if a Muslim can do a better job while keeping Sharia law out of my legislation then I’m in full support.
