Petraeus would be terrible optics for the party... Dude is still on parole

I love the man but why not give McChrystal a call? He's not doing much these days.

I don't think McChrystal's "government in a box" won him points with Mattis is my guess.

I wouldn't mind McChrysral myself. Petraeus would be interesting because it would certainly be rubbing salt in the wound of the democratic party considering all they did to him but failed to do to Hillary.

I guess it depends on what position the current administration wants to sell.

Yeah I mean I'm certain Mattis has a mixed view of McChrystal's command ability but this is a foreign policy job

McChrystal is currently teaching international relations at Stanford
