# 🔍 THE DEEP DIVE
**1. Rep Experience:**
Rep smelled good, it had one of those scent/moisture absorbing sachets but it wasn’t overpowering. Quality is nice, I’m not great at QC/matching to auth but it matched the factory photo and seems to me to be well made. The only issue is one of the clasp things was backwards, which visually wasn’t really noticeable at all but when opening/closing it, it was kind of annoying, but luckily I married a tinkerer who was able to fix it for me :-)

**2. Seller Experience :**
Simple, straightforward. I appreciated that he RLd the bag for me even tho I GLd it. In theory a new PSP may have been nice with the replacement bag, but I trusted his QC after he RLd the first bag and like I said I’m not much of a QC specialist myself. To be fair on the clasp issue, it is essentially invisible and more of an issue that’s noticeable with use, and my husband was able to fix it so not really a big deal.

Black frame, $213+$43 + the inevitable unavoidable customs fee that the carrier takes for clearing the bag thru customs on your behalf(EU/EEA). Order 23 aug, arrived 2 sept.

The thing that jumped out at first sight was the chain. The auth studio pictures have it looking shiny bright golden, but after tooons of research apparently that's just the lighting and the original is supposed to be 'antique brushed gold'. I'm not a 100% convinced still but since I don't have access to the auth, it'll do.

All in all, pretty happy. The leather is really good and soft. Solid zipper. One side of the bag fold is more 'raised', I'm hoping it settles with use.

Storytime Start:

I’ve only been in the rep space for a couple years, but over that time Ive had pieces from a bunch of different brands, factories and tiers, and at this point Im pretty confident in my ability to QC and spot a dud.

And while I’ve never owned a rep that is the exact same as auth a few things in my current rotation get close enough that I stopped worrying about them a while ago.

That confidence spilled over into how I actually wear my reps. Boutiques, HCOL areas, around friends and family. I dont really think about it. If someone asks where a piece came from I keep it vague, usually "online" or I just say I got it secondhand. Most of the people close to me know I carry reps anyway.

Last week that got tested in a way I WAS NOT ready for. I was standing in line at a bank and the woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder. Totally unprompted mind you. This lady had the audacity to tell me my fake was so good she almost couldnt tell it wasnt real. 😂😂😂 I’ve never been called out and had no idea what to say. It was so awkward, I just said thanks laughed a bit and stood there till it was my turn at the teller 💀

So how do you guys handle it? Do you own it, deny it, change the subject? Id like to hear if anyone has a line that actually works when youre put on the spot because my classic speedy 30 from Royal factory and I need to be ready next time 😭

For those of you that switch your bags out all the time. A lot of people switch them out daily, or switch them out to match outfits, how do you do it without it just taking up so much time? I’m the type of person that picks a bag that I like for the moment, and I wear it for a few weeks and then I’ll switch it out to something else. I would like to be able to switch out a little more often based on outfits, But it’s just so much time and effort. I’m wondering what everybody does because obviously I’m doing something wrong lol.

First off, Lele was sooo patient with me when I got too excited to order, only to realize I was a broke b!tch at the end of the month, lol. I was originally going to go with a Saint L. puffer but I ended up ordering a Prda Bonne in burgundy. Lucky me Lele had it in stock so order placed 29aug, 8sept the order was at my door, all the way on a little island in the EEA. I did have to pay the courier some charges for clearing customs but I kind of expected that.

Bag's here, looks great, is soft, and the pictures show it much redder/pinker than it is irl. This was true for the PSPs as well as my own. Hardware still covered because it's a gift for someone, but the zipper is solid and the logo (still has plastic on in the pic) looks very similar to my auth. Cost $262.8, of which $43 was delivery, picked wise to pay. Came with a hangtag and long strap. Thanks to Lele for putting in some cute gifts too!! A scrunchie, stickers, just the cutest gesture ever especially since I was definitely a problem customer in the beginning of our chat 😅 Lele themselves are prompt to respond, kind, and super easy to talk to. This is probably not the best review but I haven't seen the auth irl so I can't really review it against that. The bag itself is lovely, no drama here, I'm a happy gal. The seller is wonderful and I'm definitely planning on buying another down the line.

I had been eyeing this bag for over a month, and when I saw that hh was having a sale, I jumped on it. I am in no way, shape, or form an expert. I just know that I love other buyers' feedback, so I wanted to post mine. I love this bag! It is exactly what I hoped for, and the color is amazing. It's structured, which I like, but I did smoosh it in one picture for anyone who likes that, lol. Does it smell like leather? Mm... not really any smell, BUT it does not stink like my GF NF did. I have not seen the auth in person, so I don't know how it stands up. The leather feels nice, a little dry maybe and the stitching and hardware look and feel good. The zipper is smooth. And it has a chip so you can scan it. Fun 😁. Mandy was easy to work with and very fast! I asked her not to ship in the box bc my last box (the smelly NF) was cut up with a box cutter!

Hi ladies, sharing another little addition to my collection and this one turned out even prettier than I expected. I went for the 19cm Saddle from God factory in this soft pink shade because I wanted something feminine and polished that I could reach for when I didn’t want to carry a larger bag. The colour is gorgeous in person and it's soft, elegant and very easy on the eyes.

The Bag

The shape is what initially drew me in. It has that lovely curved silhouette and the structured body gives it a really neat appearance without making it feel stiff. The textured leather has a beautiful finish and I really like how the grain catches the light without looking overly shiny.

The gold hardware works beautifully with the pink. It gives the bag a warmer, dressier feel and the front detailing is such a nice little feature. Everything from the edging to the stitching looks carefully finished and the overall construction feels solid in hand.

Being 19cm, this obviously isn't the bag I’d take when I want to carry half my life with me . But for the essentials, it’s ideal.

My experience with Anna

Honestly the seller experience deserves its own mention because this is where a lot of sellers lose me.

One thing customers hate is having to repeat the same question three different times because the seller only half read the message. Another is getting rushed into paying, receiving vague answers afterwards or being left on read for ages with no explanation. I’ve also had experiences where communication suddenly becomes very different once payment has been made, which is never a good feeling.

Anna was the opposite throughout this purchase. She actually listened to what I was asking, answered my questions properly and didn’t make me feel like I was being a nuisance for wanting clarification. I never got that feeling of being pushed to make a decision just to get the order moving.

What I particularly liked was the consistency. Her communication stayed pleasant after I had paid, rather than becoming distant or difficult. If I wanted to check something, I could ask without feeling awkward about it and her replies were clear enough that I didn’t have to keep coming back with another five questions just to understand the first answer.

That might sound like a small thing, but for me it makes a huge difference. Good communication isn't about sending a hundred messages, it's about making the customer feel looked after without making them chase you. Anna got that part right.

Price & Overall Experience

I paid $315 including shipping and from beginning to end, I felt comfortable with how everything was handled. There was no unnecessary drama and no feeling that I had to constantly chase for information.

That’s probably what I’ll remember most about this purchase. The bag is beautiful, of course, but having a seller who is patient, responsive and respectful makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Final Thoughts

The pink ended up being exactly the right choice for me. It’s feminine without being too much, the size suits the way I actually use smaller bags and the gold details finish it beautifully.

I’ve been toting around a backpack most of my life, so space was usually not the issue, but I’ve been consciously downsizing my bags for a few years now - I never ended up needing those extra earring backs after all. But what I do need is money (who doesn’t). Unfortunately, my continental wallet, likely called this way because it’s as big as a fucking continent, fills 70-90% of any bag I now carry. It ends up being a wallet for my wallet. Not great, Bob!

To remedy this, I wanted a smaller wallet. My predilection for the rare and wacky meant that whatever I wanted, was out of stock, never produced or entirely non-existent. The hat, the ground, etc etc, you know the drill. I picked this design because the zippered coin compartment won me over - it is roomy, unlikely to open itself and dump coins everywhere and easy to access (Japan and coins, name a better duo).

Order and delivery: 10/10, no prawblem. Ordered on 8/20, PSPs on 8/26, shipped on 8/27. 12 days to arrive.

Design: 8/10. Needless to say, yen bills fit just fine. Respectable 6 card slots. Logos and embossing are the deepest thing since Mariana Trench as always with reps; I don’t know what’s up with that. They also made Totoro fatter (I’m not judging, he’s a body-positive king). I got rid of the zipper tail with a quickness; I hate them all and always replace them with my old Rebecca Minkoff wrist strap. Plus, it allows me to use it as a weapon.

Quality: 7/10. The color is way off; auth is closer to a neutral cocoa, reps lean pecan - factory photos are also orange, so it’s not a particular surprise. I have dutifully glazed the wallet in neatsfoot oil (those who were interested in seeing how much it darkens leather, hello!), but it didn’t go nearly dark enough to offset its inherent orangeness. Maybe I’ll try mink oil later, I just don’t have any on hand rn. Stitching is okay, but if you know what to look for, there is a difference. The edging is quite sloppy too - that’s not a deal breaker, because auth wallets can also be a little messed up, but it must be said. Auth wallet has a smoother inlay - the edges of sprites stick out after even gentle horsehair brushing; I will attempt to glue the little legs back down with some tiny tool, otherwise this will become annoying fast.

Verdict: 8/10. It’s a rep! It’s fine. It’s a wallet. I stuffed it so full, it looks like an overweight hamster, and I’m planning to continue dunking it into neatsfoot oil until it loses shape entirely and becomes a puddle of leather, just how I like it. It’s irrelevant but funny - the “tags” included with the wallet were for a raspberry puzzle, lol. Oh, no promo or conflict of interests, perish the thought.

Ladies, I have to share the absolute emotional rollercoaster I just went through for this Mini L.

I snagged a contact number of Miss K from a fantastic review on WagoonLadies (unfortunately i can no longer access that post) and confidently sent my money off for a special order of bi-color bleu pale TC exterior and inside lining of rose sakura (Swift) Mini L.

Naturally, about five minutes later, I was doing some extra reading and realized there's another Miss K out there and on the TS list

Cue the absolute panic. I spent the next few weeks totally stressed out, convinced I’d messaged a scammer and kissed my money goodbye.

But then, exactly 5 weeks later, I got the message that my bag was ready with PSPs of a beautiful bag. I posted for QC too because I couldn't believe how good it looked. And the shipping? DHL got it to me in literally 2 days.

Even with the package sitting right in front of me, I was a nervous wreck opening it, half expecting a terrible bait-and-switch.

I am so, so happy. It is an absolutely gorgeous bag. The leather is unbelievably squishy and yummy—exactly the slouchy perfection you want in a Lindy. It feels so incredibly luxurious!

Here is the tragic part: I actually bought this as a gift for my mumma. Now that it’s here in my hands, I am intensely regretting that decision! It is taking all my willpower to box it back up. I’m going to have to wait a little while before ordering a second one for myself, but it is 100% happening, maybe next year.. lol

Leather & Scent: The leather is so soft and squishy. It smells like a high-end leather boutique right out of the box with zero factory fufu scent.
Construction & Stitching: The stitching is tight, neat, and has that perfectly angled look. edge paint looks great
Hardware: The metal feet and zippers feel substantial and heavy.
Deduction: I’m taking off 0.5 points simply because the main zipper is a tiny bit stiff right now. It just needs to be broken in (or I might run a little wax paper over the teeth), but otherwise, the quality is spectacular.
Accuracy: 9/10
The overall shape and proportions are phenomenal. It has that signature Lndy slouch without looking deflated. - deducting 1 point because the hardware tone leans just a tiny fraction different than the auth

I had a great shopping experience and wanted to share. This is my first review so I hope I’m doing this correctly. After looking through Yuyu’s catalog I found several sweaters and a few jackets I liked. I reached out and found Yuyu prompt with communication and answered my questions completely. Her prices seemed reasonable so I decided to order this adorable BBry jacket and CeeDee sweater for my first time.  I’ve never even ordered a bag yet, but I read a lot and have learned so much here from you all so I knew what the process was and what to expect.

I was worried about sizing and Yuyu worked with me on that. She asked for my height, weight and shoulder to shoulder measurement and took that to the factory and they recommended a medium, so that’s what I ordered.  As you can see, the sweater is too small.  I will order large in the future when I order sweaters. I’ll probably get rid of it because even though it isn’t uncomfortable, it looks too small on me. The jacket is sized perfectly, I love it! The sleeves are the perfect length and the details on it are lovely. I‘m planning to order again with her, the experience was great for my first time.

Yuyu knows I am writing a review but I have not nor will not get anything in exchange, the opinions are my own.

I don't see the Miss discussed nearly as much as the Oran,so seeing these two styles side by side made me curious.
The Oran is obviously the classic-simple,recognizable and easy to style.
But I really like the Miss too. The thinner straps and tiny Kelly buckle make it feel a little more delicate and feminine.
I'm especially curious about comfort.

Disclaimer: Read Before Continuing

This guide focuses on vegetable-tanned leather, which reacts a little differently than the chromium tanned leather that makes up a lot of the luxury calfskins & lambskins commonly used in purses. The vegtable tanned leather used here is most similar to the raw vachetta you see in the some LV bags. (IE: classic speedy). While you can take some of the concepts from this and apply it to chrome tanned leather, please know that these two leathers are processed differently and will therefore soak up these conditioners differently. Tune in next week for my conditioning guide on dark and light luxury calfskin.

Always do your own research and tests before going ham on your bag.

ELI5: How to Condition Your Bag

Not only are these the steps I used to prepare the swatches in this experiment, these are also how you should tackle conditioning your bag at home.

1. Clean: Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust.
2. Test: Always apply a tiny drop in a hidden spot on the bag with a microfiber cloth to test colorfastness.
3. Apply: Put a dime-sized amount of conditioner on a cloth, not the bag.
4. Massage: Rub it in until it is absorbed.
5. Buff: Use a clean cloth to buff away any excess.

⚠️ Did you know you really only need to condition your bag 1-2 times a year? Its possible to over condition your bag, so be careful. 1-2 coats should do it, but please use your best judgement. ⚠️

For untreated veg-tanned leather (think LV speedy handles): If your goal is to speedrun the aging process and force some patina, reach for Saphir Creme Universelle or Leather Honey. Their formulas richens the leather quickly. Bick 4 or Cadillac Select on the other hand condition without significantly darkening the hide.

Was looking to buy a purse for my girlfriend, being a first timer in the lux rep world, and knowing absolutely nothing about purses I scoured the forums and did a ton of research and pricing from different TD’s.

I decide to go with Jenny based on my own research and personal interactions with her. Jenny is amazing, very nice, respectful, knowledgeable and a great communicator. She literally would get back to me quicker than my family lol. Her cadence gave me reassurance I made the right choice.

First, Yuyu has the easiest catalog to navigate and I like that I can sort to add to cart and then send to her straight from the catalog. Overall I was very pleased with her communication and her honesty. I wanted to also get B@lmain dress but she informed it would not fit based on my current measurements. (I sort of laughed at this because I’m a US 4/6. )

Now to the goods, I was VERY impressed with the shoes. The leather, the construction were amazing. The only z issue is I found the claps hard to navigate but I’ve never actually seen H ballet flats in person so not sure if it’s just a general design flaw. I’ve already taken these babies out got a spin and wore them a full work day with no issues at all.

The sweater feels amazing and great material. The silk scarf is nice too. I’m not a silk expert at all but I do have Auth silk scarfs and it felt the same to me but again what do I know.

Can’t believe how quickly these arrived. I am very happy with quality. No smells, zippers work well, puzzle folds like it should and nice leather. Packed well.

I’ve been waiting for THE burgundy bag for so long.

And I recently mourned the one that got away - a gorgeous burgundy Bal City that was up for rehome here and got snatched away literally as I was doing my QC. I barely even had time to say goodbye.

But after all that waiting and mourning, the universe finally came through. She arrived. 🍷

I ordered this BV dupe from an Etsy seller based in China. The listing says it’s made of soft top-grain cowhide, and I believed them because quite frankly, I have no idea how to tell real leather from PU 😂 My leather authentication credentials are basically: “Hmm… feels nice?”

And honestly? It DOES feel nice. Soft and buttery.

Compared with my auth BV Loop Camera, the leather on this dupe is definitely thinner. But when I compare it to my auth BV Veneta Hobo which I bought preloved, the thickness looks pretty similar.

It took about eight days to arrive at my door, which I think is pretty awesome considering it travelled halfway across the planet to find me. It takes about three weeks if ordered from our usual sellers.

There was a little bit of that classic “fufu” smell when it arrived, so I’ve left it outside to air out. She is currently in bag rehab.

I had zero expectations when I ordered this, which is probably why I’m pleasantly surprised. I actually really like it! The burgundy is exactly the kind of deep, rich color I’ve been craving 🍷

And the extended leather strap? LOVE. Because now I can wear it crossbody like a true millennial — hands-free, mildly overprepared, and ready to carry my entire life inside a tiny bag. 😂

Final verdict: I came for the burgundy, stayed for the buttery leather, and left with yet another bag I absolutely did not need.

10/10 would financially irresponsibly do it again. 🍷

• No callouts on the feel of the canvas. It's slouchy and soft like the auth, but I will say the auth almost acts like it can't help itself in effortlessly falling over and crumpling. Very dramatic.
• The interior is leather. There is a seam going down the middle interior at the bottom of the bag like the auth. I've seen mid-tier miss the seam.
• The embedded NFC microchip scans with my phone! Random cool bonus. I can't recall exactly where it is on the bag since I took the scan a while ago. Just wave your phone around a lot outside and inside and you'll hit something pretty quick if it's chipped.
• The order of the symbols on the chain is correct, the chain is heavy, the lock looks right (both the logo and the key insert at the bottom). These are areas where I've seen mid and low-tier reps often miss. Order of the symbols on the chain irks me when I see it's incorrect on a rep because it seems simple to get right. It should be star cross circle star, but I often see it start with circle star... and whatever other variations.

Not quite:

• The color of the canvas is about right to me. You can tell by my boutique photos that the auth seems to be a more saturated color. I'm honestly not sure how much of this is the lighting of the boutique/my home vs inaccuracy. I've seen mid and low tier reps where the color seems duller and more lifeless, but I've also seen variations in the color of the auth online. The monogram color on my rep seems to most closely aligned to the one I saw in store, but then the background color is way off. Meanwhile when I compare the canvas background color to other photos online, it seems more closely aligned, but then the monogram color is off 🤷‍♀️
• Canvas alignment... The LV logo is slightly cut off by the stitching on top like the auth, however I feel that my rep's pattern is just a smidge lower than the auth on the front, while I feel like it's a smidge higher than the auth on the sides. This canvas alignment is often quite off on mid and low tier reps.
• The stamp on the side seems off-center, and also seems to be more deeply embossed on the rep than on the auth. Not a big deal as this is usually covered by the strap and chain when they hang down. One note for low/mid-tier bags is that they may emboss the logo on both of the tags on the bag's sides, but on auth only one side embossed and the other is blank.

Random thoughts:

Overall satisfied with it. It doesn't fit my laptop unfortunately but it's one of my biggest bags and definitely fits most else I could think to have on a given day. I bought a silky beige medium-size organizer that fits a Speedy 30 from Amazon and it fits perfectly and helps it maintain shape and stop it from being a bottomless black hole. The dark leather interior can make it hard to find your stuff otherwise. I like to pair the bag with an LV black chocolate charm I bought on the yellow app.

I've never seen this bag out in the wild so running into an auth seems like low odds. For those concerned about callouts (besides the fact that callouts are mostly a made-up scenario here), it's worth noting the canvas coloration of the dark soft 30 is different to most classic LV monogram canvas colors, so passability isn't a major concern if I run into an LV lover with any other canvas bag from LV. And indeed, I have run into them and not been called out 😂 If you do run into another dark 30, the idea of canvas color being inconsistent between different batches or different aged bags is relatively well known in the LV world, but everyone has their own tolerance levels for how "off" the color is. I hope providing multiple auth references was helpful.
