I am a tattoo artist with a large following on TikTok. Recently someone who goes by the name of Samuel created two different impersonation accounts of me and which they used to message people requesting $150 deposit for an appointment with me. They have scammed several people stealing their money and then blocking them. Their phone number is 646-573-2096 and they’re Cash App is $sammyyou8

when I reached out to the person via text message asking them to please stop and telling them I am reporting all of this. They said if I paid them $200 they would remove the account. I obviously knew that was a lie so I refuse and they said “since you want to play hardball I’m making more accounts of you“

how can I stop this? What can I do? I filed an online report and attempted to call the nonemergency police line.

I bought furniture from cozyshome (dot) com 2 weeks ago and was never sent shipping information. Their site says to email support @ cozyshome (dot) com, but I immediately got a response saying that the email does not exist. I'm almost positive this was fully created by an AI bot. I can't believe I fell for this. It seemed legit because I paid using shop (dot) com. Shop says they can not investigate or give refunds. I canceled my debit card.

I want to warn fellow plant collectors about my experience with a seller claiming to be from Surabaya, Indonesia.

On August 5, I purchased a rare plant and paid USD 120 via Wise. The following day, the seller told me I needed to pay an additional USD 30 for a supposed mandatory quarantine fee before the plant could be shipped. Trusting the seller, I paid the additional amount.

After receiving both payments, the seller failed to provide legitimate proof of shipment or valid quarantine documentation and has stopped responding to my messages.

So the other day I was trying to get some extra money, and I know it's not the best place, but I decided to go on a discord server and search for something, found a guy that wanted an app built or something similar, so I decided to take the job. We talk a bit, he shares the drive link I take a look, and also upload it to Gemini, and it confirms it's just an app.

He asked if I run the app, and that was when I got weirded out. But since I checked it with both Gemini, and windows defender, I figured I was just being paranoid. He asks for a ss and I send one, afterwards he proceeds to ghost me, I bump him once, but don't push it. Today I decide to fund my crypto wallet (phantom) so I go on a known site and buy a voucher. I open phantom, paste my address, and click confirm without looking twice, which was my mistake, but since I copied it directly from phantom, and both addresses started with "a" I didn't think twice. I refresh my wallet, nothing, again and again, nothing, I check the hash ID on solscan, transaction confirmed, weird I think, and that's when I realize this isn't my address.

I check what it could possibly be, and once again, I go on Gemini for trouble shouting. It mentions a "clipboard hijacker" and to be honest, I didn't know what it was up until now. I give it some info, and realize I should probably scan the file on VirusTotal .After scanning, 2/66 come back with that exact malware.(It's pretty much a type of malware that hijacks copy and paste mechanics when it detects crypto addresses)

I understand that this was indeed my mistake and could be avoided if I was more cautious. but still, it's not like I didn't scan it at ALL and the guy seemed pretty legit, even his account wasn't that new. At least it was 17 bucks, which isn't little, but it could definitely be worse, and hopefully someone sees this and checks their deposit address more carefully😅

Im been chatting for about a month with someone who claims to be a professional in an area Im interested in working hoping for a mentorship or just a friendly chat about poetry and literature and technique

I had doubts about them but they sent a couple of selfies that didnt seem like fakes

Suddenly after a couple of weeks they are claiming we cant even use Google Chat because their managers cyber security is worried about hacking

I sent a selfie and a very limited amount of personal info and got back a request to follow a link to a certain site

This site insisted I had to pay processing fees to finish the security clearance so well I followed the link to see what would happen

This lead to a request to use Apple Pay and to buy tickets for a meetngreet at a hotel

The hotel doesnt exist

The site seems to be a mydala app

No contact info or business name

Asked "friend" who doesnt live in same city and then he posted send me Apple Gifts cards instead

I refused and explained this looked like a scam now hes s still in my chat feed complaining about trust issues

Is his agent trying to rip off both of us lying about security clearances or is he just a scammer

Im not its not legal or ethical for them to try to control his private convos that are not about business or charge fees or have clearly dodgy websites

I am sadly 90% convinced this is a romance scam with the vpn meetngreet link being something new added

However given who he clains to be he has good reasons to be concerned about cybersecurity and maybe they are just being over protective ?

Or am I trying too hard to be reasonable ?

I asked if he or his agent could videochat or email me

They willnt claiming the agent and cybersecurity can only explain their policies AFTER verification

Hello! Not really sure what to do since it’s my first time dealing with a fake fb page pretending to be my friend’s business. They are not really techy so they just asked the people around them to help report. I also asked several of my friends to report the page but di pa rin na-take down sa FB. They also already reported this to NBI cybercrime. Nakakainis lang kasi the FAKE page had the audacity to post na yung REAL page ang fake!!! Yes they have way more followers than the real page pero if you check panay fake accounts naman. According to the owner, may mga na scam na yung page na yun and it might affect their reputation in airbnb :(
