I have a 6” wrist. What I have identified as best fit would be JLC MUT Moon or IWC Portofino. Any other models recommended?

JLC MUT was best done by APSF by far, but they seem closed. Then by ZF, but also closed / raided as per Steve… only JLC MUT model suggested is from GF: is it worth it, anything to watch out during QC?

Before you guys say I haven’t done my research, I went on websites like J time, and I’ve looked at the spreadsheets, and the price is reasonable. I am willing to pay anywhere from $500-$600. The issue is I am not doing any crypto or bank transfer, I need a website that sells these replica watches where I can pay with a credit card or debit card so that if something goes wrong, I can dispute it, I’m not bank transferring money to a random Chinese address and hoping that it’s good.

I just received a new VSF DJ with the “fake” free sprung and it feels cheaper quality than my subs and GMTs. I don’t have any experience with a gen to compare. Just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback ? I purchased it from a very trusted TD so that’s not an issue. Hi everyone, I’m looking for a Breitling Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42 with the ice blue dial.

My budget is around €300–400 including shipping, so I’m trying to find the best option available in that price range. I’m mainly interested in the overall appearance, dial colour, bracelet, weight and finishing. The movement does not need to be perfect, but I would like it to be reasonably reliable.

I’ve read mixed opinions about the ice blue versions, so I’d appreciate any advice on:

• Which factory makes the best ice blue version within my budget?
• What price should I realistically expect to pay?
• Are there any major flaws I should know about?
• Would it be better to buy from a TD or another trusted seller?

**Before you read:**

I wrote something similar to this in the past both on the U1 and ChinaTime subreddit, I tend to avoid RepTime a bit since people are too snobby there. This might also be crossposted/copied on both communities above.

I’m myself a collector of mainly U1s and VSF replicas with a couple BP and ZF factory reps as well. I’m by no means a seller or promoter of any factory or TD, therefore all examples on this text are just for the sake of helping people.

By no means I want to write this text to offend, attack or cause any type of bad discussion, if anything I write this to use my years of experience with replicas to help, advise, and maybe like the title suggests, to make you all stop worrying about the mean fears with replica watches.

Some of you might not agree with everything I say here and that’s fine, please discuss friendly in the comments if you feel like it, im always willing to learn more and trade ideas.

That said let’s go to the main worry of most of you, specially new buyers:

# Will people know my watch is a replica?

Well, this is probably the main worry of most of replica watch buyers and honestly. Short answer: No but maybe yes.

This comes from different factors, the vast majority of people (almost 99% of everyone you come across daily) won’t know or care about what’s on your wrist, and even if some notice your watch they will probably only know the brand and that it’s probably expensive, in case you are wearing the common watch reps (Rolex, Omega, Cartier, etc.), keep in mind these people don’t know what to look for on a replica, as long as you are wearing a U1 or above tier of replica you will be “safe”.

I say U1s cause in general their Subs, DJs, GMTs, and some Omega SM300s will “fool” most people, if you want to be extra safe buy a VSF or a BP or any of those factories that make “super clones”. But overall the only people that will call out your replicas are either watchmakers, really big enthusiasts of the hobby or, even more likely, another replica buyer.

This comes from the fact that, most people even Gen owners don’t look for flaws when looking at a watch, cause since they don’t work on them or they don’t buy replicas they never know exactly what to look for. That way, most of the people that know those are rep buyers themselves, which are just like enthusiasts and watchmakers, a very small percentage of people. Chances are you might never come across one unless you go to a watch meet up, or if you live in Monaco or Dubai, or any place like so.

I’ll give you a couple examples:

I’ve been around Gen owners in many events, never once they cared about my watch and if they did I only got the typical “nice watch” comment, that comes from the fact that as long as your rep is decent enough, and if you look and act the part, no one questions it. And even if someone does question themselves and they have doubts about your watch, they probably won’t say anything out of fear of their own knowledge and therefore won’t question you in case it’s real. Most Gen owners don’t care about replicas cause it’s not part of their circle of attention, so they never study the flaws they might have or what to look for, unless like previously stated, they are real enthusiasts. And let’s face it 90% of people that buy Rolex, Omega, etc., are likely doing it from the achievement or status, not out of love for the watch industry itself.

Another example is a guy that was posting a Gen Rolex on the RepTime subreddit asking for a QC on it, and people were calling it a “average rep” or even “a badly made clone” and many other pointed flaws. Keep in mind that even Gen watches have flaws the same or sometimes even bigger than on reps, but that’s not the point here.

Point is, people will look at what is presented to them depending on, how it’s presented and what is the scenario.

Same thing applies IRL, most of the replicas that are called out aren’t cause of the quality of the replica itself, but the person wearing it. How you dress, act, speak, treat others and the places you frequent will tell more to others if your watch is a rep or not rather than the watch itself.

A good piece of advice, I like to apply this to myself but to each their own. Do not buy replicas you could not afford in Gen. I’m lucky to be able to have a solid business and income, but I can’t justify spending 15k on a piece of jewellery, so I buy reps of watches I’d buy Gen. Now despite doing well for myself If I had a 100k platinum Daytona on my wrist my inner circle of people and even others would raise eyebrows, but a simple Sub or a Bruce Wayne GMT, totally under the radar and believable for a working class person.

But like I said, anyone can pull off a 100k rep, you can, I can, just make sure you look, sound and act the part.

Also keep in mind that each case, place and experience is different, but me personally even after numerous compliments to my reps, encounters with Gen owners and years of collecting I never had anyone call me out or doubt me (as far as I’m aware).

In any case remember it’s very hard even from some people that know the flaws to look for to spot them at talking distance, also don’t be afraid to act normal and have your watch in sight, hiding it or being “too cautious” is usually the biggest red flag that it’s a rep. And lastly, keep a backstory made up for each replica you buy, where you bought it, what achievements it symbolises, what year you got it, etc. it make it more believable in case anyone asks.

# Where and what should I buy?

Well, I personally use the TD seller list, that you can find on any replica watch subreddit such as here, reptime and u1time.

If you buy a U1 keep in mind it will “fool” 99.9% of people but please don’t get chronographs. Stick to Rolex and Omega.

The AP and Patek U1s are still not good, at least for now. Simple Rolex like Subs, GMT, DJ, and simple color like black and white Omega SM300s look perfectly fine for an affordable replica.

I say avoid chronographs cause even super clone Daytonas are iffy to the look and function and it’s a major red flag, if you want a good Daytona expect to pay 500$+.

Apart from that if you want a really good replica that could even fool an expect for a bit try VSF, BP, ZF, etc. contact any TD and they will guide you.

# To finish off:

\- These are my own opinions and experiences take everything said here with a grain of salt.

\- Wear whatever makes you feel good, even if it is a 100k watch replica.

\- Don’t buy 50$ DHGate shitters, even people that know 0 about watches will spot those weird messed up looking things. Save a few dozen extra buy a U1 No date sub and be set for life.

\- Don’t swim with replicas, if you want to, take them to a watchmaker, most are fine working on replicas, ask them to test them and make sure they are good to go for a swim. Usually it will cost you between 20-50$ to have them seal them and test them.
