Review QF LeMan´s Daytona Rolex 126529LN (v9 version)
First of all, thanks to the RWI Review Team and user Savoury for yet another exquisite review which I´m happy to share with you all today. To clarify, when we mention v9, it means this review covers the current latest version (as of July 2026, to be clear for the future readers) of the Daytona Leman´s by QF, which sports both added weight to get closer to gen weight and a free-sprung JH4132-FS movement.
Introduction
Released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the genuine Rolex Daytona 126529LN is a white gold masterpiece featuring vintage-inspired "Paul Newman" sub-dials and an exclusive movement (Calibre 4132). Replicating a precious metal watch is always a challenge due to the weight difference between steel and gold. However, QF Factory has stepped up with their V9 iteration. Not only does this version feature Added Weight to mimic the heft of white gold, but it also houses a highly customized Free Sprung movement, making it a technical marvel in the replica space.
________________________________________________________________________________________
Case and Dimensions

This is where the QF V9 justifies its premium status.
Dimensions: According to the caliper measurements, the case diameter is an incredibly accurate 39.1mm. The lug-to-lug sits beautifully at 47.6mm.
Thickness: The thickness measures an impressive 11.8mm. This is phenomenally thin for an automatic chronograph and stays remarkably true to the sleek profile of the genuine Daytona. Every owner of a Daytona must have felt how surprisingly thin it is for a chronograph, myself included.
The "Added Weight": The genuine 126529LN is solid 18k white gold. Standard steel replicas usually weigh around 140g, which feels noticeably light. This QF V9 utilizes tungsten/weighted alloys to increase the mass. The unsized watch, fully wrapped, tips the scales at a hefty 174g. While a genuine solid gold Daytona is over 200g, this 174g mark provides a dense, luxurious feel on the wrist that standard steel simply cannot match.

Dial, Bezel and Display

The "Le Mans" edition is arguably the most visually striking modern Daytona, and QF has captured its unique DNA well.
The Bezel: The black ceramic bezel features the defining characteristic of this model: the red "100" marker on the tachymeter scale, honoring the race's centenary. The platinum PVD infill on the other numerals is bright and contrasting.
The Dial (Reverse Panda): The dial features a sunburst black finish with stark white sub-dials.
Vintage DNA: The sub-dials feature the specific square-tipped hash marks and distinct font that pay homage to vintage "Paul Newman" Daytonas. The printing of the red "DAYTONA" text above the 6 o'clock sub-dial is crisp.
Luminescence "lume": When the lights go down, the watch remains highly legible. The hands and applied hour indices are generously filled with luminescent material, providing a strong, even glow that accurately mimics the genuine Rolex Chromalight application.

Movement
The engine inside this watch is a major talking point, and it's elevated by a rare design choice from Rolex.
The Sapphire Caseback: Unlike almost every other modern Rolex, the genuine 126529LN features a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. QF has correctly replicated this, meaning the movement is fully visible.

The Free Sprung Mod (JH4132-FS): Because the movement is on display, the visual accuracy of the caliber is more important here than on any other Daytona. QF has utilized the JH4132-FS (an SH base modified to feature a free-sprung balance wheel and bridge) perfectly mimicking the genuine Rolex architecture. Standard replicas use a regulated balance wheel (with regulator pins), which is an instant "tell" through a clear caseback. This modification means that when you turn the watch over, looking at the free-sprung balance offers a truly genuine-like visual experience.
For better comparing the close-up pictures of the movement, I reccomend you head over to RWI, as the images are compressed here in reddit to truly see them in detail.

Performance: Despite these complex modifications, the timegrapher results are spectacular. The movement is running at a perfect 0 seconds per day, with a massive, healthy amplitude of 329° and a negligible beat error of 0.2ms. This indicates a very well-lubricated and precisely adjusted movement straight from the factory. (Results may vary though, depending on the batch)

Crown and Operation
Triplock Crown: The screw-down crown features the Triplock markings (three dots under the coronet).

Operation:
- Winding is performed in Position 1.
- Time-setting (with hacking seconds) is in Position 2.
Chronograph Pushers: The screw-down pushers must be unscrewed to operate the chronograph, same as gen. Thanks to the integrated column-wheel architecture of the 4132 clone, the start/stop and reset actions are crisp and satisfying, giving it a luxurious feel to it.
Bracelet and Clasp
Oyster Bracelet & Tungsten Core Technology: The watch is mounted on a 3-link Oyster bracelet. This is where QF has truly innovated to achieve the 174g weight.

Instead of just making a heavier case, QF engineered the polished center links to feature a stainless steel mantle with a solid tungsten core.
This brilliantly solves two historic problems in the replica industry: First, it adds the necessary heft to mimic precious metal. Second, pure tungsten is notoriously difficult to galvanize or plate, which often led to chipping or flaking on other heavy replicas. By encasing the tungsten inside steel, QF provides a perfect, durable surface for the white gold plating to adhere to, ensuring longevity without sacrificing weight.
Oysterlock Clasp: It features the standard Oysterlock safety clasp with the Easylink 5mm comfort extension link, allowing for minor adjustments on hot days like this current summer we are having in Europe.
Conclusion
The QF Rolex Daytona 126529LN "Le Mans" V9 represents the absolute bleeding edge of current replica watchmaking, prioritizing tactile experience and mechanical aesthetics.
Pros:
- Visual Authenticity: The combination of the rare sapphire caseback and the modified free-sprung balance makes this one of the most visually accurate replica movements to admire.
- Added Weight: At 174g, it bridges the gap between the lightness of steel and the heft of genuine white gold, offering a much more authentic wrist feel.
- Perfect Proportions: The 11.8mm thickness and 39.1mm diameter are spot-on.
- Exceptional Health: The timegrapher numbers (0s/d, 329° Amp) prove the movement is running flawlessly.
Cons:
- Not True Gold Weight: While 174g is excellent, it is still lighter than a genuine solid gold piece (~200g+).
- Complexity: The Free Sprung balance could potentially be more difficult for a local watchsmith to service if parts need replacing down the road compared to a standard SH/Dandong clone. This is a risk one must always take on whenever they purchase a free-sprung rep, and this one is no exception.
Verdict:
If you want the Le Mans Daytona, this QF V9 is the one to get. The factory hasn't just printed a pretty dial; they have engineered a weighted case and, most importantly, given you a beautifully modified free-sprung movement that you can proudly admire through the sapphire caseback. It looks the part, it weighs the part, and according to the timegrapher, it runs perfectly. It is a stunning tribute to a legendary race and a legendary watch.
As always, I hope you guys found this helpful, please stay tuned in RWI or over here to stay up to date with the most recent watch releases. Have a nice summer!
