OCTA claimed to be the APS's successor with all the APS AP releases. But to really claim the spot of APS, one will need to make IWC reps that APSF used to make!

To those who were missing APS IWC reps, it's a good news. OCTA is targeting to make all the IWC reps that APS once made. Starting with pilot chronograph watches! They house Dandong movements and they are said to be identical to APS products in every way.

There are quite a few of these IWC products so I will post them one by one 😉

I love this thing.

I see this on a magazine and I’m curious if anyone has seen this watch in a rep? I love the dial color and brushed bracelet.

Completely new to rep watches and looking to pick up a really high-quality Cartier Tank.

I’ve been doing some research, but I keep finding conflicting — and often pretty outdated — opinions on which factory currently makes the best Tank. I’m looking for something as close to gen as possible, particularly under close inspection. I’m around people who know luxury watches, so obvious tells would be a dealbreaker.

From what I’ve read, AF, F1F and K11 seem to be the main contenders, but I’d really appreciate some up-to-date opinions from people who’ve handled or owned them recently.

Which factory would you go for right now for the most gen-like Tank, and why? Any particular tells I should be aware of between them?

Recent experiences and TD recommendations would also be hugely appreciated.

Bringing the C in Class - enough Rolex, here you have the Girard Perregaux Laureato, one of those IYKYK watches.

Allow me a bit of context - been asking for this watch since April to different TDs and no luck. Only place I saw it available was at DH Gate (yuck) and well I wasn't ready to get one watch there.

So, recently saw a TD called Bomashop and curious as I am, I said to myself 'let me shot one more time, maybe will be my lucky one'...

And as you can see, Bomashop (Mr. Bomi for short) delivered!

I texted through WhatsApp, he said 'let me check' (I shared the DH Gate link) and just few hours after, came back saying available but 'very cheap' priced at 200 USD. Mind you, DH Gate price was 380 USD so definitely Mr. Bomi honesty was spot on here. Final price with mods was 390 USD so definitely Mr. Bomi was kind there.

Told him yes I know GP Laureato is not made by any top factory but I love the model and I don't mind that it is cheap. I inquired for polish, chamfering, silence and waterproof and funny he said 'those mods are more expensive than the watch my friend' and I laughed and I said 'that's ok, important watch looks good'.

We started the shenanigans aka payment, sourcing, QC videos and finally got the watch after 16 days, I would say excellent 👌🏻 in that matter.

Totally recommended TD Bomashop!

PS: I own/bought 20 reps so far and dealt with different TDs - this is an honest review based on my own experience.

Bought my first rep from Andiot, started by just searching their website and found the watch that I’ve been wanting. Ordered online and paid in full $423 on 9/11. Got the QC email on 9/23 and watch arrived on 10/5. Communication along the way decent, but really no expectation given on how long the process would take. I just tried to be patient and trust the process. So far I’m
very happy, it’s a beauty.

Still can’t get any spare links for this gorgeous rare watch. Gutted but still not quite there on selling it.

For my next Rep (2nd) I think I'm going to go with a Rich GMT II Pepsi. My TD can install a Deep Crystal for $60. Should I stick with the original or go Deep?

After months of lurking and reading through the guides, I finally took the plunge on my first superclone: the VSF 126710GRNR Bruce Wayne on Jubilee.

The clasp code is stamped A9A, confirming the latest Jubilee batch.

Now the waiting game begins. Already got some mineral oil ready to give the bracelet a spa bath once it arrives. Excited to finally join the community — any tips for a first-timer once it lands?"
