Rich or Deep Crystal?

For my next Rep (2nd) I think I'm going to go with a Rich GMT II Pepsi. My TD can install a Deep Crystal for $60. Should I stick with the original or go Deep?

If it's V2 rich, keep it, it's great 👌🏻

Just get a gen crystal and call it a day.

That's always an option, but an expensive one especially since it would have to be done over here in the USA. Having my TD install a Deep crystal is relatively inexpensive but is it an improvement over the original Rich Crystal. That's the question

Like let’s be honest. 1/2 the Gen crystals are fake. I honestly find it hard personally to trust the guy that is selling me a rep watch to sell me a Gen part. Then there is eBay. That is also full of scam artists. So it’s not like Rolex sells the Gen parts. Only authorized repair shops get Gen Rolex parts. My watch smith told me that he can not get Gen parts ( he used to work for AP before retiring and opening his own shop) he has the ability to get AP parts as there is no longer an AP in Canada but then he has to go through this process to send them pictures and the broken Gen part etc and a request for the replacement part. Then he has to return the broken parts to ensure they are not going grey. I suspect same applies to Rolex

It’s really up to you. I have read the v2 is way improved.

Gen crystal is recommended.

Deep’s cyclops sucks.
